I had a private conversation with the guys from The Trailer Park Boys after their show in Chicago a couple of years ago. I asked them about her as her leaving the show and the character being written off seemed very abrupt. You could tell they wanted to say more as they had kind of evil smiles but they just kept it to "she became too big for the show".

Anyway, I got no problem with her changing her gender. We don't all fit into neat little boxes. And she is likely a figure of hope for many people. That right there is a good thing.
