this is generally my thoughts too... because if you can travel lightyears with ease, then you don't need our resources. even if you were evil, it's just easier to get what you want from uninhabited worlds, and theres virtually unlimited amount of those. the only thing we need to worry about is sadistic assholes.

2nd, if you understand statistics, and you had even the slightest idea how massive and dense the universe is, it's very reasonable to predict were not alone just based on numbers. it would be absolutely insane to think we are the only ones.
