Colome was great from a results oriented perspective. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of actually closing out games. This guy closes them without making you sweat.

Yes, Colome was effective. I'm leery of solving problems that don't exist.

Signing him would give us a very deep pen with Bummer/Crochet as your guys to handle the 7th and 8th.

Colome is a free agent, so the problem does exist.

and I thought Heuer was better then either of them.

That is the beauty of Lynn and Keuchel. Both have thrown multiple 200+ inning seasons so you can count on them to not overtax the bullpen.

Evan Marshall has been good too. The Sox could have a lot of good choices for a high leverage bullpen situation.

Yep and the salary Colome will demand based upon results doesn't match what my eye says he is worth.

I'm gonna say Crochet is in the rotation if he's healthy. Kopech likely to the pen.

I don't think there is anyway Crochet starts in the rotation. He will start in the minors. Kopech is not going to come out the pen without flaming out as a starter first.

In a few years Crochet is in the rotation, but I think this year they want to use him as a reliever. It sounds like he is following the Chris Sale development track.

I would guess he starts in the minors to build him up to being a starter. And bring him up later in a year as a bullpen weapon.

Yeah. Really shut everyone down the last ten days of the season last year when it mattered.

He doesn't dominate in the true sense. What he does is get weak contact from his cutter. It's hard to say when regression will come.

A Yankees fan would be suicidal if they went 15 years without winning a playoff series.

But everyone has different expectations

But Sox do look good. Hendriks would be another great move.

How did the Cubs offense do against the Marlins?

They lost in the opening round of 16

Cubs were expected to lose by everyone who follows them. The only team they hit against was the White Sox in September.

Let's focus on the Sox and their lights out bullpen. Forgetting the 12-20 record vs teams above 500 last year.

Yeah. The Sox bullpen sucks, and they surely won't improve from last year when their rotation was Giolito, Keuchel and bullpen day.

Got the best reliever on the market.

Teams will be filled with anxiety trying to get an early lead because they know it is a six inning game every night.

Yep, Giolito, Keuchel, and Lynn make those an easy 6 innings. Cease has shown he is often good through 5 as well and if Kopech comes through?

Just imagine that Crochet could be the first guy out of the pen for the 7th inning and then you have to face Bummer for the 8th? Good night.

Heuer, Foster, Crochet, Bummer, Crochet, Hendricks is a great group especially in a short series.

You put Crochet in twice and forgot Marshall, which is what I'm guessing you meant for one of those
