oil companies compete with international chains... not sure if price fixing applies. proof of that was when OPEC increased prices, we just started fracking and it brought prices down.

factory farms are government subsidized because we use their product as aid for foreign affairs. price fixing likely happens, but this is a result of government support to begin with.

same with banks. luckily there, blockchain currency is rapidly becoming popular. hard to compete with technology.. world banks are terrified of this.

i dont use any social media either. i like 'local' forums like this one and a few others. theres a certain size they get to (reddit) and they just start policing every word you say and ban anyone that doesnt fit their agenda. its fucking terrible. i have snapchat but thats only because girls dont give out phone numbers anymore, its snapchat or go home alone.

Banks are rapidly using blockchain for things like intl trade. I think they’re viewing it as an opportunity as much as anything.

The interesting thing to me about blockchain currencies is that if they ever gain meaningful scale, I’d anticipate nation states crushing them. Heavy restrictions on transacting, no usage in commercial transactions, stifling regulation...they’re being given room to grow right now but that could change quickly.

The true “factory” farm is already owned by the chemical and meat companies (some are the same company). Farmer is just an employee who takes all the risk.

If oil companies are fixing prices they are doing a terrible job at it because just about every oil company in the US that isn't named Exxon or Chevron will have declared bankruptcy during either 2020 or 2021.

Not now, but it seems to me that they have a history of it. Especially when the price of oil skyrocketed. Or will again.

I'm down to Reddit as far as social media goes. They still have dorks in the big subreddits who down vote you for any opinions or jokes that stray from the group think cucks, but occasionally you'll run into a good group of people (like the Norm Macdonald subreddit) who are old school and allow pretty much anything.
