I've been buying Jewel's "Signature Select" brand lately, and every flavor I've tried is outstanding. Plus, they're usually only around $3 per carton. The Salted Caramel might be the best ice cream I've ever had anywhere. Brownie Moose Tracks also great.

Graeter’s is awesome. Haven’t had a bad variety. Some storefronts in the area and they sell a few of the more popular flavors at the jewels.

I don't like ice cream. It's too cold and I don't like the texture.

I am closer to 100 than 20. French vanilla. And I mock joggers. The dumbest hobby I've ever seen. And that includes stamp collecting.

For an ice cream cone: pralines and cream on a sugar cone.

Store bought: Breyer's Vanilla for the lack of hfcs and other garbage ingredients

Although the Signature stuff is really good.

Pet peeve: 1/2 gallons are now around 56 oz.

The Kirkland ice cream bars are better than the Häagen-Dazs they copied.

I love fudgesicles

My all time favorite brand is Petersen's Old Fashioned Ice Cream out of Oak Park. We owned an ice cream shop when i was in HS and we carried Petersen's exclusively.

Peanut butter & chocolate combination. Jewel's Signature Select, Blue Bunny, Breyers a few that are good. A pint of the Cheesecake Factory chocolate. $6, so when it's on sale.

There is no such thing as bad ice cream.

Lots of wonderful flavors to choose from.

Grocery Store bought, High Road bourbon ice cream is my current favorite.

From the shop, Graeter's in Ohio/Kentucky is pretty damned good. There's a local shop near me that makes a really good double chocolate. And from my youth, Baskin Robbins' Gold Medal Ribbon was a favorite.

Yeah, I am a big fan of the Wisconsin frozen custard scene--from the famous Milwaukee giants like Kopps, Leon's and Oscar's to the lesser known but still fantastic spots sprinkled across the state.

That said, I'm not a fan of Gilles custard.

Notably, Scooter's at the corner of Belmont and Paulina in Chicago makes a stellar custard that is comparable to the product offered at many of the best Wisconsin outposts.

We get ice cream and its devoured before I even know it is there. My kids taunt me by putting the empty carton back in the freezer with a spoon. My son did that and left a note inside before he went for college. It was a nice note.

Churning ice cream is a pain in the ass. That's why I taught my great grandson how to do it. And now he's teaching his son.
