I read that the guy that makes the most money doing Cameo is the actor that played “Kevin” on The Office. Supposedly puts a lot of effort into making them really funny, and makes over $1M a year doing them.

First, billy, stepping on my joke, regardless of whether you thought it was funny or not, is bad message board form. Second, I don't really think a radio sales guy can force the on-air talent to give a ringing endorsement and do over-the-top excited reads for a product if they don't want to. If you were a Dahl listener, you know better than to have any respect for people in radio.

I think cameo is kind of cool. It would be even cooler if the "celeb" actually called and had a conversation for a couple of mintues. I would think a guy like Kevin from The Office could up his asking price and would probably enjoy it. Bernstein would never do it.

I looked through the entire list one time from lowest to highest. It's interesting to see what people charged based on my impression of their popularity. I think there was someone on there doing it for 1 or 2$

The Office is like the 85 Bears of tv. Only really one true star came from it. Another person was already a star and stayed a star. Everyone else just kind of shows up every so often but instead it's as a podcaster, or a guy on Cameo, or the voice on Puppy Dog Pals and a Cheerios commercial and some weird crowdfunded Office spinoff that has nothing to do with The Office besides the one guy was an actor in The Office and is also named Stanley.

Even Mose is making millions.

Who was the star before the show?

I'd say Steve Carrell and John Krasinski are the two main people making money on screen. Surprisingly, Mindy Kaling fell into Oprah's preferred person's club and has made millions in producing content and had her own TV show. Rashida Jones gets steady work but I think she had FU money and industry connections to begin with.

I agree with your point. I also think all the older secondary characters made enough money where they don't have to scramble for work. It's a tough industry for older people
