Frank, do you not agree that Bauer and Springer get the White Sox to the ALCS and their best shot at a World Series?

If I was a Sox fan, I would want my team to sign the best player on the market when they are so close to a championship.

No such thing as a year early when your major prospects are playing at the MLB level and your ace is pitching like a Cy Young candidate.

Take the Cubs as an example. Bryant, Baez, Rizzo all shit after 2016. MANY had the prime years 2016-CURRENT.

Nothing was ever dumber than when the NHL hired Gary Bettman to play hardball on a new CBA with the players' union and their old-Ontario-money lawyers. He was so unpleasant to work with that the league shut down in the wake of New York winning the Stanley Cup and nothing got done until the richest owners stepped in, fucked over the poor owners, and set the league on a wayward path they've never really come off to this day.
