the real obvious answer after all these years and all this experience is that I'd rather not marry.

You guys on #2 or 3, did you ever think you'd get married again? If so, what changed your mind.

You can't mean that.

I just want a better option than what Jorr gave me. Really smart girl with ALS or the most manly woman you can think of? I'd really like to be married to Dr Matthew McCounaghey.

I was divorced at 29 without kids so I knew I would get married again. I just chose poorly the first time around. After a couple years and dating quite a few girls after I got divorced, I knew I would marry my wife after our first date.

This, except change my age to 30

so it was as much the desire to have children as it was to have a life partner?

That seems logical to me. Having kids has been a great experience and is a biological desire for most.

Do you think you would have wanted marriage but for kids?

Not sure...never thought about it that way

Sounds like someone is laying the groundwork for an annulment.

He might be. People warned him and he said he knew what he was doing.

Not me. I'm the luckiest girl in the world, he saved me from living what would probably be an empty and miserable life. There is no person or relationship that is more important to me than that one.

Male or Female, the smarter you are the crazier you become at some point.

Hard pass on a doctor, therefore.

Not always...my ex wife and ex mother in law are the two craziest people I ever met...and both were dumb as boxes of rocks.

I never wanted to get married at all. I pretty much knew the first one was going to be dicey. I just figured, "Fuck it, I'm 37 years old, it seems like something I probably should do." The second one basically gave me an ultimatum and this one I didn't/don't want to lose. I would have been fine just living with her forever without being married if she would have allowed it.

I think Phillippe is the best looking dude I've ever seen. My wife always makes fun of me and says, "At least I know you're straight because that guy is very feminine."

Sure, we know a pretty boy when we see one. Scotty Pods, for example. But my wife loved Tom Paciorek. I go, "OK, whatever, that's above my pay grade".

Chicks dig a sense of humor.

I should point out that I'm talking about Cruel Intentions Phillippe. I saw him recently in Big Sky and he's going to seed a bit. Still a handsome man though.

What the hell is going on here? This sucks.

Yes, even I have to admit he was HOT in Cruel Intentions

Neither did I. And oddly enough, my youngest just asked about this dysfunctional relationship. And thankfully didn't need an answer.

My wife has her Master's in Education and has taken some credits toward a doctorate, but is not actively pursuing another degree. She is definitely not a Playboy model.

And she would be far better off married to someone other than me.

I'd rather not marry either of the poll choices, but might be interested in Pole choices.

It was more the desire to have a life partner. I never liked the bachelor lifestyle. Kids came afterwords. My wife never thought she could have kids and it wasn't a high priority for me. I do wish we had our kids younger. Such is life.

I really wouldn't mind having a few more kids. Maybe I'm forgetting how tiring the early years are.

I'm really not that old. There were guys who were in their 60s at my oldest sons grade school graduation. I won't even be that age when my youngest graduates from college.

Lot of years of posting here still in me!

This. As long as she's not a medical doctor, I'm cool. Female medical doctors are annoying know it alls.

My primary Doctor is an Asian woman. Very attractive. Also a good Doctor. I thought when my previous Doctor retired and they assigned her to take over as my primary, that I might be somewhat uncomfortable and I was at first a bit. But I got over it and like her better now, than my previous Doctor. If she is a know it all, I welcome that quality, rather than a Doctor who comes off as uncertain about things frequently. I want to feel like my Doctor knows what she is doing, is sure of herself and her ability to diagnose problems should they crop up. I just worry that when she checks South of the equator that I'm going to gift her a solid yule log.

I wasn't talking about the professional side of things...I was talking about the personal side of life. But, cool story, bro.
