I was divorced at 29 without kids so I knew I would get married again. I just chose poorly the first time around. After a couple years and dating quite a few girls after I got divorced, I knew I would marry my wife after our first date.

I never wanted to get married at all. I pretty much knew the first one was going to be dicey. I just figured, "Fuck it, I'm 37 years old, it seems like something I probably should do." The second one basically gave me an ultimatum and this one I didn't/don't want to lose. I would have been fine just living with her forever without being married if she would have allowed it.

It was more the desire to have a life partner. I never liked the bachelor lifestyle. Kids came afterwords. My wife never thought she could have kids and it wasn't a high priority for me. I do wish we had our kids younger. Such is life.

I'm really not that old. There were guys who were in their 60s at my oldest sons grade school graduation. I won't even be that age when my youngest graduates from college.

My primary Doctor is an Asian woman. Very attractive. Also a good Doctor. I thought when my previous Doctor retired and they assigned her to take over as my primary, that I might be somewhat uncomfortable and I was at first a bit. But I got over it and like her better now, than my previous Doctor. If she is a know it all, I welcome that quality, rather than a Doctor who comes off as uncertain about things frequently. I want to feel like my Doctor knows what she is doing, is sure of herself and her ability to diagnose problems should they crop up. I just worry that when she checks South of the equator that I'm going to gift her a solid yule log.
