Obviously the only thing I know about him is the info posted by the guys who pretend they know everything based on only seeing his swing in a Tweet. It sounds like he is a RF with a great arm who can also play a little CF. Seems to have developing power now that he is eating his vitamins. Good speed. Stocky. Strike outs were a bit high against top competition but he was pretty young when he faced MLB level. At least a full year away and maybe two.

He's the #1 international player according to some, but hardly a sure thing at the MLB.

in other cuban news, word around seems to be that the Colas guy wants to be with the Sox so badly that he won't sign with an MLB team until next year, when the Sox have more money.

He needs time in the minors, like everyone else. I think he's only played in Cuba. The other guy Colas ("the Cuban Ohtani"), has played in Japan.

Other teams are bitching about how international players should have to go through a draft, and maybe that is coming some day, but for now, the Sox have got something golden. They should give away copies of The Old Man and the Sea next year.

At some point in the next few years, we'll probably see the Sox end up playing an exhibition series during Spring Training against the Cuban team.
