OSU is one of the 3 best teams in the country but they avoided dealing with a lot of the COVID shit all these other programs managed through over the course of a full season.
It's not like their competition for the final spot played 12 games either. It was 8-1 A&M vs. 6-0 OSU.

A&M wasn’t the only team he put ahead of OSU.

Even then, A&M still played a full regular season, missing out on a conference championship game for having the misfortune of being in the same division as the best team in the country.

OSU played 5 regular season games and only got into its conference championship game because of a last second rule change.

But if the argument is "OSU didn't play enough games" then 8-1 and 6-0 isn't that far apart. You don't think OSU would have gone at least 2-1 against anyone else in the conference? They beat the 2nd best team and the 3rd best team record wise.

Who really cares about breaking some rule they made up on the fly before they even know how the season would play out. The B1G found a way to get the best team in the CCG, they'd have been screwing the conference over if they didn't. Maybe if they hadn't already beaten IU there'd be an issue, but they did and there isn't.

Playing 50% more games over the course of a season could fairly be considered a lot.

I agree with that much, I just understand Dabo doing what he did.

Most teams played around 9-10 games. 6 games is obviously low

I think he was just trying to find any 10 teams to put in front of OSU bc he’s trying to make a point about number of games played.

Looks like the old BYU is back. They sure were fun to watch, and they even had a good team or two. This might have been their best team since Sarkisian was the QB, although Danny White's grandson or nephew or whatever had some good teams a while back.

I'd love to see Mckenzie Milton make it back to an elite level for next season (he's transferring) and be an NFL pick

He was legit before that nasty injury.

My son told me a funny joke related to college football 2020?

Who is a better female kicker: Sarah Fuller or Kareem Hunt

I laughed. Sorry Julie. Violence is never funny

Women loathe you, don't they? Tell them you have 66+k shitposts on a dying sports-talk forum. That should do it.

My cousin's team was supposed to be playing today, but the game got cancelled. But what really surprised me was their opponent was South Carolina....who finished 2-8???

Usually, I am all over college football, but not this year, and so I was surprised to find out that several 3-7 and 4-5 teams are playing in bowls, too.

Yeah overall it’s been a terrible end to the CFB season.

I enjoyed parts of it.

Some good storylines and games played, but the playoff committee fucked up my enjoyment from the release of their first rankings.

A few good games, but a naked money grab from the start. I hope that the NCAA drowns as a result.

Ok. State and Miami on. Cowpokes up 14-0. Edit: 21-0.

I had forgotten how what usually gets me through the post-Christmas letdown (I'm a big Christmas guy--I love it) is the bowl season. Besides my cousin's, this game is the first one I have actually wanted to watch.

Big Ten hoops might take the place of bowl games this year, though I have a big pile of books to get through, too.

Other thoughts

I'm sure that that film about the band The Band is good, but I can never bring myself to watch it. It's like gay male sex: I'm fine with people doing it and celebrating it, but I'd rather not partake in it.

Whoeva wins the Clemson-ND game will have a shot at the national championship.

In our religion book in fourth grade, they had a picture of what the Hebrews used to think the Messiah would look like. The text said that these folx imagined that the Messiah would come as a great warrior. The illustration in the book was basically that of a seven-foot (in height) English medieval knight. I always thought that was weird.

I wonder if it will ever stop snowing.

I've gone from watching 8-12 college games a week, to not realizing that the playoffs start this week, and having no idea who is in the bowl games. But I'll be ready to see tOSU hopefully get annihilated soon.
