2nd Season of The Wire had an entirely new cast and story and it worked great as it was sewed into the later seasons. It was genius and I never seen it done like that like they did in The Wire.

But ya, The Leftovers sucked.

Correct. I know Rick likes to do his thing here and I appreciate that but this is a fact, not an opinion. Saying the show was rebooted is like saying 2 + 2 = 5

In this case it's about the time period and the gap between filming. In the case of Planet of the Apes it's about replacing Charlton Heston with Marky Mark and starting over. Do you really not know what a reboot is or are you just pretending because you need to get your argue on and this is slightly more interesting than beefing about whether Donald Trump is a cad or not?

You can reboot a show during it's initial run. It's basically making some major changes in between seasons. Examples are like when Michael left The Office or when Charlie Sheen left Two and a Half Men. I would call the Marky Mark POTA a remake and not a reboot. Now, if Marky Mark had instead been taking off from the last scene of Charlton Heston then it would be a reboot.

It seems as if you are saying that even though there were massive changes between season one and season two that it wasn't a reboot because the time frame they live in is roughly the same.

I've only seen one season and I didn't like it. That's why I asked if the other seasons were different and better and it seems to be that it was just as good as season one.

If you enjoyed the series that is fine. I always thought the show had potential but it didn't reach it and it instead was just a depressing and disjointed mess in season one where there may not or may have been supernatural ghosts.

Just completed a rewatch of the Wire, probably the 5th time I’ve watched the whole series.

Prop Joe to me was as interesting as Omar, Marlo or Stringer Bell. Would have liked a little more of a back story on him. Lester Freamon would be my second choice. Wonder what his daily routine in the pawn shop unit was like for 13 years and 4 months.

As previously mentioned, Rip from Yellowstone is also a good choice.

that's a show that needs to be brought back.

Season 1 was very good, but I understand why it's hard for some people to get through.

Season 2 was amazing and maybe one of the best seasons of TV ever.

Season 3 was great and brought the show to a satisfying end.

Most interesting is Omar Little

Most interesting on The Sopranos was Junior.

Uncle Junior is among the best overall in tv history but find it tough to go with you there. To me he’s like Raylen, always funny/great/charismatic but not sure his waters run very deep.

Not that his waters run deep, but you found out more and more about the character as the series went on. Kept adding layers to his story/personality.
