They could make more money dropping this on Amazon cinema. People will pay the extra few bucks to purchase the movie instead of renting it. In 6 months drop an extended version, make even more money.

We bought that Scooby Doo movie for the kids a couple months ago.

I wouldn't know. I'm not one of these people who anxiously awaits opening days a year in advance.

Avatar 2 has been talked about for years, but I don't know if it's finished and just waiting release or if there is more work to do.

Seriously, how many fucking Avatar movies do we need? How much more can you go into that world? Maybe a back story, but that seems about it.

Just watched Pedro Pascal in a streaming exclusive superhero movie with a big name director that just released and it was pretty good. Taking about the Netflix exclusive, Robert Rodriguez’ “We Can Be Heroes” of course. Christian Slater still getting movie roles.

I really, really liked everything about it except the goddamn flying (gliding).

The cast was great, and acted their asses off.

Story was good enough.

Action scenes were good.

It’s just... The damn flying was off for me.

I know she’ll do it in the comics depending on who is writing, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Very good movie tho.

I really enjoyed this.

My 5 year old really liked it.

My mother in law liked it.

My father in law didn’t give a shit until he saw Lynda Carter.

I really thought the first movie was excellent...this one bothers me on several levels.

One, the villains are really not good. Not interesting, in fact distracting, and nothing coalesces until near the very end. The plot developed so slow I thought I was reading an Alley Oop comic.

Second, the dismissal of Steve (and his second death) was both weird and anticlimactic. This series needs Steve alive. They have good chemistry.

Third, they did next to nothing with the 80's. It was all one big "remember when" thing.

Fourth, can they stop having Wonder Woman break from action to save kids and overact emotionally?

Fifth, and I could go on but finally, this is some truly terrible CGI. Wiig's character especially.

Terrible movie. Feels like they made three movies and then jammed them together, forgetting to connect the dots.

never watched the first and really not a super hero movie fan. but shit, if I can get to see a new released movie without paying the bullshit prices @ the theater + popcorn/coke wallet rape jobs, I'm all in.

update - half way thru this movie and it absolutely fucking sucks. There is like no dialouge with the main characters. My son says the guy she meets from the dead is some Capt America laughable wannabe. I dont even understand where the story is going thus far.

update 2 SPOILERS

The lady from Sat Night Live is the villian? what a joke.

Did the WW actress get screwed over by being a foreigner? they gave her hardly any lines and the ones they gave her were like 1 or 2 sentences max in the movie. Her english was not bad and she deserved a better script. the entire 'wish' thing was pretty stupid.

This is just an awful movie. It’s a completely nonsensical story. Gal is fine but she has nothing to work with.

this would've been a lot more agitating dropping $30+ at a movie theater to sit through, so i didn't hate it. but i really wasn't that entertained by it. the 80's stuff seemed very half-assed and mostly provided a backdrop more than anything. except for harping on nuclear war (which wasn't much of a reality during that time anyway), and having some fashion jokes which are wearing thin by now, it could've taken place at any time.

gadot is amazingly delicious as wonder woman, the character; but as an actress, she just doesn't carry enough charisma to hold a movie together. that was easily compromised by having a much bigger role from chris pine in the first movie, which also helped make it the best DC film by far.

here, because he's more couched as a supporting role, the only time the film can wrap you up in its entertainment factor is when these two are on screen. they do have great chemistry. and because of how they wrote themselves into a corner with his storyline, it's pretty much impossible to bring him back again if they do a 3rd movie (which they shouldn't at this point).

wiig is awful in this. i'm really tired of her SNL character approach to acting. she's too weird in the beginning, and i don't buy her for one second as a villain.

as for the main villain, and the plot, it's ridiculous saturday morning cartoon level stupid. a wishing stone?

and what was the point of the entire opening? to set up that diana shouldn't teach, and know "the truth" about what it takes to "win" something? that doesn't translate at all to anything meaningful in the climax of the end of the film.

i really hope the RLM guys are right and this marks the end of the $200 million dollar comic book movie era. i'm tired of the bloated run times, the overblown special effects, and the just truly unsatisfying narratives that get lost in CGI extravaganzas.

if the movie industry is dead, this should be its biggest corpse.

:D :D out of :D :D :D :D

It really did feel like a saturday morning cartoon of a story line. I think Pedro Pascal saw it for what it was and played it that way. I'm not sure the other actors did.

It was another in a long line of mediocre DC movies.
