Is it any good? I love both versions of the book and the previous mini-series was okay .

It's a pretty much meh story.
Like 95% of what King writes, it has a great premise, excellent build up and then falls apart in the last 15% of the book. He needs a closer.

In the case of this book, the problem is the Evil side. Evil doesn't come across nearly as evil as they should be and if the 'good' side wasn't even in the book, evil still loses.

I dont know anymore. Brick complicated it. However, he simplified the election.

Well I can't disagree with some of the problems with King's writing, I also am amazed at how bad the movie and TV adaptations of his books have been. Anyone have a good theory of why? King has to have input in the production, so it makes me wonder if he is the reason. Otherwise at least a few of these wouldn't be clunkers. I kept hoping that Dark Tower would get the same treatment as Game of Thrones with an HBO series, but I could imagine it would turn out like shit still.
