Pretty light X-mas at the T-Bone household this year but my mom happened to be at Whistling Straits this summer and bought me a really nice golf shirt from there. Earlier this year I was goofing around and designed my own personal logo when I was on vacation. My wife bought me a 1/4 zip jacket with the logo embroidered on the chest. I don't like it as much as I thought I would! I'll still be wearing it though.

What was some of the best stuff you got this holiday?

While you old patriots were probably being happy with your new Bears ashtray or something stupid like that, I got an iPhone 12 Max+, super-sized with special sauce. It's super-expensive and rumor has it that the people who got it early (like me) got a souped-up version which has flecks of gold in its body.

Actually, I didn't ask for it, and given Apple's disgusting political agenda, I feel guilty. But the camera is really good.

And here's the real present: My fifteen year-old son lobbied the missus, convincing her why I needed this phone and repeatedly offering to chip in with several hundred dollars of his own hard-earned money. That really warmed my heart. He's also been helping me set it up, and he's checked in with me several times, asking me how I like it, and encouraging me in the most positive and patient way to try the different features. Again, that's the real present, and I won't ever forget it.

Didn't get any gifts, didn't give any gifts. Likely to be that way indefinitely.

Lucky.

This would’ve been the best gift I probably ever got for Christmas.

It's kind of sad, but I like my in-laws more than my own family...and I got to avoid my family this year.

Out of the blue I got an acoustic guitar for Christmas. I have never played but have often mentioned to my wife how cool it must be to be able to pick up a guitar and make music. So she bought me one, and I am already having a ball learning my first few chords and trying to bridge them together. Lots of fun but damn, my fingers are killing me today, i need to take a day off i think.

I saw someone walking down my street wearing one of those two days ago and had to do a double take.

The most fun I had over these last few days was watching my son get about as excited as he has ever been seeing the toy Bulldozer and Garbage Truck that Santa left under the tree for him.

What does your logo look like?

Is it a vector image of a T-Bone steak?

I'm assuming it's a cartoon boxer holding a bowl of ice cream over a kid....juuuuust out of reach.

It's pretty lame. Two bones form a large capital T and there is an image of a boxer superimposed over the top with a bit of a menacing look. It was the best I could come up with.

A couple of years ago I started collecting 80s era Nike posters for my game room. My kids got me a McEnroe "Rebel With a Cause" poster from 1989. I'm not a big tennis guy but its one of the best posters Nike ever produced.

The idea of a badass tennis player always seemed like an oxymoron.

Kids got me a Bears knit cap that's too small for my giant melon.

I also got a T-Bone logo golf pullover, for some reason.

My goddaughter got me a woman's Bears sweatshirt.

I thanked her for not assuming my gender.

I also didn’t see the in-laws, which was great. It was nice to be with just my family both Eve and Day.

The best gift was enjoying my son open and use his new BB gun—right out a Christmas Story. We’ve had a blast shooting cans and targets in the back yard, and it gets him off the Xbox.

One of our daughters received a similar gift. The difference being, the cap on it was a glass ball.

Very cool.
