How are the ratings? I have not listened to the score in a long long time. Really don't listen to any sports radio anymore or does anyone I know.

Used to love the Bears postgame. Hub is great(except postgame) and Manley is a snore.

It could be a double thing. Where Parkins and Bernstein both get new radio wives. Leila with Bernstein and Spiegel with Parkins.

The SCORE should do this up. They should go to a church and video the following for their website: Terry Boers walks Leila down the aisle and presents her to Bernstein. Dan McNeil does the same with Spiegel to Parkins. Then Boers and McNeil have an awkward long lasting hug.

I've realized when I did listen i wasnt really listening for the sports but more for the personalities. North, Mac, Murph, those guys are unique. Guys like Bernstein and Parkins are a dime a dozen.

yup - and there is where you need personalities and not sports talk show hosts.

when there are no sports going on or things are in an industry slump, you need a person who can go beyond just talking sports of the day. North, Murph, guys like that could do that.

An analogy is if you're watching a baseball game on tv and it's 8-0 in the 5th and your team is losing.

You need the tv sportscasters to keep you interested to not change the channel. Guys like the SFGiants crew Mike Krukow/Duane Kuiper are awesome at doing that. Kurkow will tell some zany story from his playing days and Kuiper will also add some anecdotes.

Nobody at the score has that talent to do that. And the only guy at AM1000 who can do that is JHood (and formerly Murph before they canned him).

The current ratings would cause a panic during normal times. Those ratings though during a time when ad revenue is tough to get for a station with better ratings is the death knell for Entercom

I could see them sharing some weekend programming and try to build a Good Karma regional brand. Mix that in with some Westwood One or Learfield stuff, or branded with the Big Ten TV network.

that was my experience when i finally turned the radio on because i had 5 minutes left on my drive and didnt want to start a new podcast... i got 5 minutes of commericals

I hope it's not a Spieg's/Parkin's show announcement. Spieg's has no charisma and had many chances. Give someone else a shot.

Out of all the tryouts I liked the Rami guy or whatever his name is that was on with Spieg's this week.

it would be great if they hired all new fresh personalities who would be hungry at the chance.
