i sent an email asking why hub wasn't on the site anymore and why in the hell would jen jen be considered an expert at sports betting and i get a reply from spaceball himself, or at least thats what the email says. he says they are using hubs handicappers from pro football weekly and that jen has made no picks. we need to bombard their site with questions.

So, league credentialed PFW reporters are in the business of selling gambling advise? Forward it to The Commish's office.

What does that even mean? So, Mike isn't making any picks and he's just a figurehead for PFW writers that are making the picks, uncredited, behind the scenes?

That's pretty messed up.

So exactly who the fuck IS making these picks?! On your experts section, you got North (is he picking or not?), you got Jen (she ISN'T making picks?), you had Hub (but who's gone and whose guys ARE making picks?), and a fucking fictional character whom they post results for ("The Bookie Priest was 2-0 last night!").

Huh?

Yeah, guys, nice going, here's my $139 a month--no problem!

This is so vintage North, it's not even funny anymore. Screwed up royally from the word 'go.'

What an ass.

Yes, and I didn't even mention Fred because, given the above, I couldn't even pretend to have a clue what his role is at this point.

I just sent my questions in. Come on guys, bombard them and demand to know who the hell is making these picks that they want your money for.

Wait, are those the opening bars of Dean Martin's "Kick in the Head" I'm hearing in the background?

I sent mine. I portrayed myself as a possible customer. I just wanted some credentials of the experts before "me and my pals from my LAW FIRM" forked out $100 each. I even asked that since I heard that Priest guy was acually North, How could you consider the same guy twice to be two experts.

I said itseemed fishy. Hopefully he'll try his sales pitch.

I'll let you know.

Not that I am defending North, but I do know when you "Startup"anything issues arise, even when you try to plan for them.

However, this whole thing sounds like a FULL SCAM, which actually leads me to ask WHY? They are just NFL picks? A room full of PFW "Experts" could do as well as the guy at the Hot Dog stand.

Or is this Spaceball pushing the PFW influence around just to help sell it, without HUb's knowledge again?

Yeah, startup issues, glitches, whatever, are going to happen, but this thing was just deeply conceptually flawed from the beginning. Mike's record is this, the Bookie Priest's (also Mike) is that, Jen's an expert, Jen's not making picks, Hub's in, Hub's out, Hub's magazine is in . . . what's going on here? This isn't a comedy bit (well, not intentionally). They're asking for real money from people with this ridiculous, incomprehensible setup.

My opinion...

It is low startup cost...low risk...potential high reward (in their mind) venture.

I think it is nothing more than an attempted MONEY GRAB from an arrogant piece of shit.

The whole thing is a joke conceptually, and as we can tell, is being mis-managed from the start.

Some of you may have already pointed this out, but I had to go check out the details for myself. So Spaceball tells Deacon Blues they are using Hub's PFW guys. OK, that's interesting. You go to "Handicapper's Corner" at profootballweekly.com and you get consensus selections of all the "experts" absolutely FREE. If you want to see each of the expert's picks individually, you can do so with a subscription costing $54.95 a year--not $99 or $139 a MONTH--$54.95 a YEAR (that was last year's rate). And they say this service will be returning in September. This is just mind-boggling. You're supposed to pay Mike $139 a month to get picks you can get for free elsewhere and the blond whom Mike calls this great sports expert isn't really making any picks--according to Spaceball.

What am I not understanding here??????

Oh, and by the way, these PFW experts' consensus picks were something like 118-114 going into the last week of the year, so hold off on those plans for the condo in Maui if you're thinking of using them to get rich.

Someone should take a screen cap and send it to the commish's office before it disappears from Google.

Something tells me that Goodell has bigger fish to fry than worrying about these two losers. His first thought would be, Who?

I'm sure ol' Rog has spoken personally with many people. That doesn't mean he remembers or gives a shit who Hub is. Or cares if he is on a betting site with a former bad radio host.
Hub picks every game with the spread on his PFW TV show. Does Goodell care about that?
