Thankfully @cantguardmike will be back. And Drew seems to have shaken off the rust.

The Bears haven't played a road game in the playoffs since 1994. In that time, the Bears had only made the playoffs as division champions, and never got deep enough to face a higher seed. How strange.

The Bears have made the playoffs 2 times in 3 years. Pace and Nagy deserve extensions!

The NFL announced the wild-card playoff schedule for next weekend.

The most highly anticipated scheduling decision involved the Saints-Bears game. Saints running back Alvin Kamara is on the COVID-19 reserve list with a chance to play in the wild-card round only if his team was given a Sunday game.

The Saints and Bears play at 4:40 p.m. ET on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Colts and Bills begin the postseason with a 1:05 p.m. ET game on CBS.

The Rams at Seahawks follow at 4:40 p.m. ET on Saturday on FOX.

The NFC East winner — Washington or the Giants — hosts the Bucs in the Saturday night game that kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC.

Three more games follow on Sunday.

The Ravens and Titans — a rematch from last year, only this year’s game is in Tennessee — are scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC on Sunday.

The Bears-Saints play the middle game.

The Browns play the Steelers for a second consecutive week with an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday Night Football on NBC.

Should just do like some of the college teams and opt out.

Saints run D is better than any the Bears have faced over past few weeks, they will make Mitch beat them and we all know how that will work out.

Took Pace several years to figure out he needed to protect Mitch by running the ball, but there will always be a handful of plays where Mitch will have to make a competent decision/throw and he will invariably fail, most likely in the red zone.

I think they run the same offensive game plan they did against the Packers. It kept them in the game. The twist is to maybe try and incorporate the guy who had 100+ receptions this year.

That game plan results in a lot of field goals which may keep you close for a while but it also means you will ultimately lose to a team with a good offense. It’s very hard to consistently sustain 75 yd drives when you rely on multiple 4 yard gains on every set of downs.

The twist is that when plays are there to be made on defense, you don't let those interceptions bounce off your hands like what happened twice yesterday.

Saints have scored at least 26 points the last 9 games Drew Brees has started, so that is the floor. Bears must score 30+ points to win. The only way they win scoring fewer than 30 is to be +2 or +3 minimum in the turnover battle.

Saints' Sean Payton Let's Quarantine 50K Fans For Playoff Game!!! ... 'It Can Be Done'

Ludicrous idea from Sean Payton ... the New Orleans head coach wants to test and quarantine 50,000 (!!!) Saints fans so they can safely pack the Superdome for N.O.'s playoff game this weekend.

For real.

The 57-year-old former Super Bowl champ made the revelation on a phone call with reporters Wednesday ... saying he's dead serious about making a virus-free playoff game in Louisiana on Sunday.

"I've brought up the idea of testing 50,000 people and quarantining them in a hotel and having like the most safest Superdome known to man, scientifically,” Payton said.

“Bus them, they’ve tested every day, and you’ve got a COVID-free facility. I think that's possible.”

Payton sure sounded like he's got team officials looking into the idea ... and when asked how progress is coming -- the coach made it clear he thinks it's still a legitimate possibility.

"It can be done," Payton said. "It can be done."

FYI -- the Saints are slated to play the Chicago Bears at 1:40 p.m. PT on Sunday ... and for now, only a limited number of fans (reportedly a cap of 3,000) will be allowed to attend.

So, if Payton's plan is going to work, better get the rapid tests moving ASAP!

By the way, Payton knows firsthand just how dangerous the virus is ... he was one of the first stars in the NFL to contract COVID back in March -- suffering from chills, fever and fatigue before ultimately recovering.
