If one of your employees is a sex pest it's a bad look. If you didn't know it, it's a bad look and if you did and he was still employed, it's a bad look. It's not some organizational culture shattering failure, it's just, you know, not good.

Not defending the guy whatsoever, but it's funny how we hear "62 texts" and the implication is it was 62 separate stalking creeper texts, but from the initial reports it sounds like many or most of those were pictures of vacation spots he was trying to interest her in. Let's say he sent one text asking her if she wanted to go to Aspen and then he sent a dozen pics showing the resort. That's different than sending a dozen separate "why don't you like me?" or "please go out with me" or dick pic texts.

I'm still of the mind that he was mentally unstable and a creep/jerk...it just bugs me when I feel the reporting doesn't give an accurate portrayal. I also wouldn't be shocked if it turns out the woman sent some texts of her own early on, which gave the guy a glimmer of hope. Again, doesn't excuse the guy if she said no later.

I can't believe this is an actual debate. Set the awful cancel culture aside for just a second, and read the following statement.

If you are a man and you have sent pictures of your penis to a woman who didn't ask for said pictures, then you are fucking terrible and deserve whatever happens as a result of hitting send. That should be the end of it.

Even then, she was a reporter and he was employed with the team. If they had friendly messages otherwise, maybe. But you still run the risk when you send pictures of junk- yours or somebody else's.

I agree regarding the dick pic -- completely unacceptable and almost certain to be futile anyway. There should be zero debate over that. I was addressing the sending of 62 allegedly unsolicited and unreturned texts and whether there was a more likely explanation other than the guy just being a psycho. If he sent one text asking "hey, would you like to spend the weekend at my place in Vail?", then sent 60 pics of the place, that's different than sending 61 stalker texts. If he hadn't send the dick pic, I think the former is not firable but the latter could be. It's a moot point, though, since he did send the dick pic.
