Great stories, Jorr and Vito. That scorecard is very cool, Jorr.

Had to get out my album after I got home today. Not sure if it's real. I sent him the card when I was a yute and he was working for the Braves. Couldn't figure out how to resize the photo.

I don't follow. Instead of FC?

Correct

What? No way. It's a fielder's choice. He forced Andre Thornton at second.

I put this in the books section but a young One Post read his autobiography “I had a hammer” because I was a big baseball fan. It was a good baseball book but it was better for a young One Post to get a perspective on what racism was like in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

You can see from that scorecard that I knew how important he was at the time. My dad made sure to take me to see the great players and made sure I knew I was watching something special. I didn't know that they were at the end of their careers at the time. I just knew they were important.

I suppose you could differentiate a non-force out from a force out on FC, but I never thought to do that. And I probably wouldn't anyway knowing where the baserunners are from the previous AB.

You can see that Swisher grounded to short and forced Thornton at second in the sixth and Aaron did the same with Evans in the fifth.

Don't force outs go in the books as a Fielder's Choice for the batter?

Should have had some pomp around Billy Williams on that scorecard.

You even had your Sox inferiority complex as a kid...

I found it. It was No. 725. The guy selling the ticket and I both had it right. Losing pitcher for Atlanta that day- the Pride of Lane Tech: Buzz Capra.

This scorecard is from 1974?

You had really shitty handwriting for a 32 year old....

Did your dad let you take a big drink out of each of his beers?

No, but when I was a little older and we went to Sox games with his buddy Ronnie, after they drank beers all game and were reasonably loaded in about the seventh or eighth inning, my old man would say it was time for a "Sissy Baby", which is what he called Peppermint Schnapps. Ronnie would go down to the bar right below where we sat to get them and he'd ask my dad, "Should I get one for the kid?" My dad would always say, "No, his mother will kill me." But Ronnie always came back with three shots.

I like how you wrote 725 instead of HR. That's pretty cool. Good for you that you got to see him play.

Criminal that the Cubs had Jose Cardinal bat clean up.

Should have been Cardinal, Madlock, Williams, Monday, and only because Williams had hit 3rd forever and Madlock was still a rookie.
