Wow where did this IU team come from? 2nd half at Iowa tonight was really impressive. They played their ass off on D and actually looked like they had an offense. Would have never dreamed they could go to Iowa and get a W

Your post praising Purdue motivated them.

That is a nice win.

Anyone (shakes? gd?) seen the Ramblers this year? Can they win a game if they make the tournament? Watched a little of their games over the weekend. Not sure how good they are. They have back to back games with Bradley, who is having a decent year, next week, so I guess we'll see.

Put a big circle around the first two weeks in February. They play back to backs with Missouri State and Drake, the two other best teams in the conference (pre season favorite Northern Iowa had their star sit out the season and blew up). Go 3-1 or better and they are in good shape.

Ramblers are peaking, winning by double digits in four straight. Their losses are to #12 Wisconsin, 9-3 Richmond and a bad loss to Indiana State on the road just after new years.

I have a feeling they won't have a conference tournament. Have to win the regular season.

Damn, Tennessee and Gonzaga just announced they are playing in Knoxville on Saturday night, that will be a hell of a game. Gonzaga doesn't duck anyone.

Great game between Gonzaga and BYU tonight.

BYU had a 14 point lead at halftime.

And led until about 4 minutes left in the damn game, before Gonzaga finally pulled ahead.

They completed a perfect regular season, 26-0 I believe.

Couldnt help but think about the Illini losing at OSU in 2005.

Totally reminded me of the same thing.

Except the Illini were ahead by ten at half, neither team reached 70 points, the Illini lost on a last-second shot, and the Big Ten is a real conference. Otherwise, the similarities are striking af.

He knows Illinois returns to 8th place in the Big Ten next year and this is his shot.

Northwestern went ten minutes with only two points. The announcer, Robbie Hummel, quipped, "Usually when a drought lasts this long, Mellencamp and Neil Young come to town and put on a concert."

NU leading now....

I wasnt comparin' the damn games themselves dummy.

I was simply reminded of the circumstance of havin' to win one more fuckin game to go undefeated. And yes, I know IL was on the road while Gonzaga was at home.

Charlie Moore on Depaul, kid can play. If he was 3 inches taller hed be a lottery pick. He should sfill carve out a decent 5 year career in the NBA.

It was nice to see DePaul win, but Moore needs more than additional height to turn him into a lottery pick. He makes stupid decision after stupid decision on the court, his shot is inconsistent, and he has too many turnovers for a guy his size.

Was a nice win, hopefully they take down uconn tonight. Im sure touve seen him play more than me, you're probably right. You see him earn a check in the NBA for a few years?

I paid so little attention to De Paul this year that I didn't know they had a player B. Favre.

Anyway, they always seem to pull of an upset or two in their conference tournament. Any win is an upset because they are always in last place

Congrats on watching Charlie Moore for the first time in your life. Now put the crack pipe down. There's no way he plays in the NBA. Took him 6 years of college to finally be a mediocre starting PG. He makes poor decisions and isn't much of a shooter and turns it over just as often as he gets an assist. Literally zero chance he plays in the NBA. Maybe a 2% chance he even gets a shot at a G league spot.

But, great win last night!

things will pick up today as the big boy conferences get going. Maybe the biggest game all day is Michigan State vs Maryland. Pretty much a win or season over game for both of them.

Also looking forward to Ok State vs West Virginia. If you haven't seen Cade Cunningham play here's your chance.

Texas vs Texas Tech later tonight should be a great game as well. Oklahoma vs Kansas another great game today.

And of course DePaul vs UCONN. Can DePaul get their 3rd BigEast tournament win in a row going back to last year?

you can go ahead and just take a pen and write Gonzaga and Baylor in the final 4 as soon as you get your bracket. Michigan you might want to use a pencil, but they're pretty good as well.

After that it's a crapshoot. No difference between the 4th best team in the country and the 20th.
