Calling for some decent snow across the southern and central part of Wisconsin. We haven't had any measurable snow all year in Kenosha which is a little surprising since we had snow by Halloween last year. No complaints here. Still only calling for 2-4 inches here but double that out west a bit.

3-5 forecasted out here to be followed by ice in the early morning hours. Sounds delightful.

4-7 inches predicted locally with another tenth inch of ice...30mph wind gusts, glad it is winter break.

I was wondering when we were gonna get some real snow. Bad roads out there tonight! Saw a guy spin his way into a 53 on-ramp earlier.

Just got finished cleaning off the deck and back steps. Thankfully it seems to have stopped awhile ago. Fortunately my letter carrier doesn't come until late afternoon so we can take care of the front around noon when this crap has had a chance to melt.

Thank God I shoveled my townhouse neighbors front walks on principle for 15 years, now they're returning the favor. Happy New Year's!

Shoveled 3 inches of sleet/snow last night. Glad I did it then instead of waiting for the skating rink to top it off this morning.

Looks like we're gonna get our first proper snowstorm since 2018. 6"-10" of snow possible. Not looking forward to the Monday evening commute.

Let's see if these frauds can get this right, they are 35% or so on hitting on these winter storms.

Skilling seems pretty reliable but the rest of these guys are worthless.

There is a guy who used to be a local weather guy out here. I’m not sure what he does now but he still does the Werner and posts all of the computer models and goes through the thought process of why he would predict which one would be most correct. it’s a pretty interesting read to be honest. Better than the guys who are still on the air. I think the models I last saw showed between 5 and 10 inches for my area so they have a lot to Guess on. I’m just glad the damn ice is staying south this time.

I think most of it will miss extreme SE Wisconsin where I’m at but still waiting and watching. Got maybe an inch here this morning.

Are you north or south of I-80?

Right on the border. I’ll be looking for your weather reports. I’ve never trusted Skilling. :drunken:

Btw - ever see a show at the Richmond Hill theater? Never been but it looks intriguing.

We supposedly experienced a "Frost Quake" last night. About 930pm, I was downstairs in my little warm workshop working on repairing a saw. I heard a loud noise, and thought someone had seen the light on in the basement window and hit/kicked or threw a snowball at it- quite unlikely, since we are quite isolated. As I went upstairs to check things out, my wife came from the living room asking what that was? She felt the whole house shake and the windows rattle. Our neighbor hit her on Facebook almost immediately asking if we heard it too? I went out, but could only hear some guys on four wheelers/snowmobiles/dirt bikes riding away through the vineyards south of us. I thought, maybe they had set off some tannerite and got more than they bargained for, and took off. No footprints outside, no flames or sirens. I guess the 5-O and fire departments spent some time investigating, but found nothing.

Yeah, I’m closer to I-80 so I seem to always be right in the boundary. I’m,Ike snow did most part but this winter with the ice has sucked.

Yeah, not a Geneseo production there but my daughter did a junior theatre thing once at Richmond. It’s a cool theatre, very small. I’ve considered doing that and having a meal at The Cellar or Geneseo Brewing but haven’t gotten around to it. Wife had a family reunion at the Park 25 years or so ago, I kind of laugh that we ended up,out here.

Quakes are always weird when you have them. The one regular earth quake I remember I was convinced it was a big tractor driving driving by at 2 am vs an actual earth quake. Damn think shook the glasses in the cabinets.
