Perhaps someone would like to enlighten those of us who didn't hear it.

Matty was signing off around midnight concluding BearsPostgame and Rock was there prepping for the morning show.

Matty and Rock were riffing comedy gold and "I'm still waiting for my phone call." was one of the lines Rock used.

:D  :D  :D

It could have been from this board also.

Rock wrote recently that he'd consider leaving the Score if Pappy gave him a phone call.

I posted a response to Rock on that thread. I told him that call wasn't coming. I told Rock that he doesn't realize what a joke Pappy is viewed as by people in radio. I really don't think Rock realizes how horrible that Morning show was. Despite being there everyday. I think Rock just tuned out the badness. Rock was like a zombie towords the end of it.

Rock had been told, by Pappy, on a daily basis, how great Pappy was. Rock was brain washed into beleiving it. I think Rock realizes this board was correct finally. Rock knows there won't be a phone call coming. Rock finally realizes what a joke his Pappy is.

Doesn't make sense. At 11:40pm The Goose Gleason was talking to Rock about running the Bears game over at WBBM. So Rock wouldn't have been there yet. He's no Usain Bolt!

Hey Rock!!!

Did Pappy call you for his handicapping bullshit?

Did he offer you an "expert" slot. He threw a bone to Fred. Fred still works at the Score.

If he didn't it proves Pappy doesn't love you. Don't feel bad, Rock.

John "Rock" Mamola, one of the producers of "Mully & Hanley in the Morning" on 670 "The SCORE", is also one of the board ops on sister station WBBM Newsradio 780 & the Chicago Bears Radio Network. He was on briefly with Matt Abbatacola on WSCR around midnight when "The SCORE" delayed Westwood One's "Olympic Roundup" to air nearly 2 hours of Bears' postgame following their 37-30 preseason loss to the 49ers. "Rock" mentioned something that because of CBS Radio News & WBBM's plans to carry Barack Obama's nomination & acceptance speech on the last night of the Democratic National Convention at INVESCO Field in Denver, he mentioned something that SportsRadio 670 would be carrying the Bears' preseason finale at Cleveland next Thursday night. Although WBBM is still the Bears' flagship radio station, whenever there is more important news being made, Newsradio 780 will not be afraid to pre-empt Bears' football for hard news coverage.

I guess the people that heard this on the score at midnight must of been having a mass hallucination!

I'm not Usian Bolt....but I was as tired as the prince in Spaceballs.

Yeah, that guy.

Working Score mornings then Bears at BBM then back to Score the next morning is a tough day or two.

We finished post game at WBBM around 11:30pm, and headed over to the Score so I can start on the pre-show production for M&H. I walked in to start my "shift" and Matty asked me to come on the air to talk about how the BBM crew handled the special teams, fumbles, and the bad defense in the last Bears pre-season game.

We talked for about 3-4 mins and thought it was all over, nbd.

Then the board op then cued the classic that is "Aint That A Kick In The Head" and Matty and I then headed into the typical meatball chicago sports fan impression and we had a little fun.

I haven't talked to Mike in almost a month now, I know he's busy with the whole dontfademe thing, so I figure if something comes up he'll call. I'm not a gambler, and never have been....so if I got a call for the site...I'm pretty sure i'd decline because I'm not good at picking games nor do I feel comfortable doing so. If he does call, I'll listen....if he doesn't, nbd.

Just so everyone knows, me and Mike are cool, we have always gotten along and still do. Just because he's gone somewhere else doesn't change that.

Hope this clears it up for people that weren't awake....and if you were awake.....damn.

-Rock

Well this sure didn't stop Jen now did it? Oh yeah, "bookie" too.
Hey if you ever talk to him go ahead and let him know it looks pretty unprofessional to have an alter ego making picks.
If you're his buddy still you owe it to him to try to help.

If by "busy" you mean masturbating and laying in the fetal position wondering why nobody loves him.... then we all are on the same page.

I love how Rock answered my question seriously. "No I would not do a handicapping site. I don't feel qualified" said Rock. No shit. It's a joke. I asked you sarcastically. Jen Jen isn't qualified. She just needs the money. C'mon Rock, you guys are cracking up at Jen.

I also love how Rock said Mike is busy with this site. He's giving Pappy and this site respect. C'mon Rock. You can laugh at him. Man, those Score guys are trained very well. They're tough to break. They still feel they have to worship Pappy despite him being gone from the Score.

Rock, seriously, when you talk to Jen Jen, what do you do? Do you actually congratulate her on Dontfademe.com? Are you serious when you do it? Does she know the stupidity? Can she laugh about herself? Is it something you feel you have to act serious about with her? Would you offend her if you were honest and made fun of her for this?

From what I hear they discuss how over invested YOU are in all things Mike North and his former co-horts.
