"I wouldn't pay much attention to it," Favre said. "I think the frustration, disappointment, hurt, pain, all were in that soundbite. Look, there's no way the Packers would do anything to jeopardize losing Aaron, unless Aaron just chooses to retire, which I would be shocked. The guy's playing better now than he's ever played, and without him, you certainly wouldn't have been even close to where you were yesterday. I think the same would go for next year and really the next few years, if he chooses to play.

"I wouldn't pay much attention to what he said. I've been there. It's so — I mean, it hurts. It's painful. The last thing you want to do is think about next year because you've just had a major disappointment, and that's what you're hearing in that soundbite."

no this is about 2nd and goal, not 3rd and goal. but ya, time to move on. it was fun though the last 2 days. remember when the wsox beat the cubs last season like 20-0 and Abreu hit like 100 homeruns at wrigley? and the wsox fans flooded the board with a thousand posts having fun on the cubs behalf? Well I guess this was like this but Bears/Packers

Agreed. I think its dumb for any player to answer such a question immediately after a big game like that, win or lose. A canned response something along the lines of, "let me digest this one, and we'll see where were at in a couple of weeks," works 100% of the time and is actually the truth probably 99% of the time.

100% agree, especially when it is probably the worse loss of his career, he has made his goal to get that home Championship game and they didn't get the job done.

I'd saying going 15-1 as the defending SB Champs then one and done in the playoffs is worse. But yeah, Sunday's loss is near the top.

That's a good one. But the 2015 NFC Championship Game, where the Packers were up 19-7 with 3 minutes left, had a 99.9% winning probability and still lost, has got to rank up (or is it down?) there, too.

Wow, looks like Rodgers has led the Packers to a lot of devastating defeats during his career.

It's almost impossible to pick his worst loss. :?

  At least Sunday and the Seattle game were Conference Championship games. Going 15-1 then losing in the Divisional Round is particularly brutal.

I wonder if FF thinks the Packers were better than the Giants or Seahawks after those losses?

Most of the time, yeah. Sure there can be an injury or weather or some weird event that skews things in the playoffs perhaps.

Honestly, you would be hard pressed to make a convincing case where a team loses to an opponent in the regular season, loses to the same team again in the playoffs- on their homefield no less- that says the team that lost both games was the better football team.

The ironic part of this discussion is if the Packers are "better" than the Bucs this year then the year they actually won the Super Bowl they weren't anywhere close to the best team in the league.

Hey they're all brutal to some degree. The difference in the 15:1 season was there was a belief that the window was wide open for years to come. Now the window is closing and who's to say how next season plays out in terms of injury, quality of opponents etc. And for the record, the Seattle game (onside kick) and the Eagles game (4th & 26) were the most painful for me.

It’s clear he thinks that. Bears were better than the Buccs this year. They beat them straight up, so nothing else matters.

Getting slapped around at Tampa during season then losing at home in the playoffs makes it hard to argue GB was the better team.

Losing twice both home and away does.

Rodgers should've run it a few yards to make for an easier FG attempt

They should have scored some points after Brady's interceptions.

4th and 26 was pain but not nearly as bad as the onside kick game to me. Nothing comes close to that for me as a GB fan.

Favre's last game and losing to the Giants was a tough one for me that got worse finding out my son's 41 year old Principal died of a heart attack in the parking lot after the game.
