I wonder if Citadel has counterparty risk on other OTC trades where they'd be stiffed if Melvin went under, and they felt they had to bail them out or lose even more.

Seems like the thing to do going forward is get a pool of 2,000,000 or so people together and have each of them agree to buy a few shares of a single stock and then hold onto it forever until they force a short squeeze.
