CNBC is worried because they know the casino the Federal Reserve created with all this easy money for the last 10 years is having side effects that will eventually blow up everything. It was fine when it was just their friends that were in on the phony market but now dorky college kids are exposing it all and making the whole financial system look like a big joke.

These brokerages are probably wishing they never dropped commissions to zero. Not only did that remove a barrier from people trading as much as they want with little or no cost, but it exposed that they make their real money on payment for order flow.

CNBC has rightly warned retail investors about these crazy stocks. The bagholders are going to complain that no one told them the risks once GME goes back down. Just like no one told home buyers that taking out a negative amort loan was a bad idea.

This is not how you invest to build wealth. It is just gambling delinked from fundamentals.

And leveraged hedge funds deserve to take it in the ass, so I am more than happy to see them get blasted along the way.
