Same here; though, when I was watching them in the 90's, they always seemed to lose in the first or second round. He's up there with Jerry Tarkanian as far as memorable coaches from my youth.

He was always a likeable guy. He was very relatable - like he could have been my coach in HS. He seemed like a regular guy too who didnt need all the fame and attention as other coaches did. RIP.

I remember him as being a big crybaby. I will say that as a yute I used to cut pictures out of players I liked and put them up in my room. I had a pic of Mark Macon shooting a jumper. That guy had a beautiful stroke. Textbook. I guess he’s an assistant at Temple now.
