No haunted mansion that I know of.

I've refused buying a snow blower long enough. I think it will be my list to get this summer.

Surprisingly good recommendations online of the eGO battery two stage. Seems like it would handle most suburban driveways, especially if you happen to have additional batteries from a trimmer or blower.

It was a weird house. In the 70’s/ early 80’s it was all apartments on inside. Was in it a few times as a young, young kid trick or treating or something. Mom used to do bridge club or something with one the residents. Hard to remember, I as 5ish. The family that bought it was a plumbing supply contractor or something and was doing all the work himself. I think it might of been a bigger bit of work than was planned on as it was in pretty rough shape when the current owner bought it. Was in it a couple times on first floor back then picking up friend’s little brother. Only haunting in Wayne I ever heard about was Munger Rd.

Told it was basically completely gutted in recent years and and new owner wanted to turn it into a banquet hall but the town won’t rezone (not a surprise).

My neighbor has an eGO. Was talking to him this morning as I’m still shoveling.... battery gets about an hour, which is plenty for most snows. He has a backup battery for days like today. If a do breakdown and ditch the shovel, I want to buy electric. No interest in maintaining a gas engine for the few times a winter I’d use it.

was looking at ego last week. those damn batteries are almost $200 alone and looks like you only get maybe 3 years out of them. i think buying a used gas one on craiglist might be what i do this summer. was shoveling the driveway today and the wife asked why we dont have one. i told her they cost $1000,her response "so?".

Pretty sure we were in the 1 foot range. The wife drove the snowblower and I shoveled yesterday morning and it took us just shy of 2 hours to clear the first 9 inches of snow. I went back out before dark and got the rest. There are a few spots where I just don't have room to throw the snow anymore so it was fun and all but we can start warming up again now.

Saw Sunday the high is 5 with a low of -13.

I have an eGO leaf blower and love it. However, my next door neighbor’s single stage eGO snowblower could not handle the snow yesterday morning, and had to borrow my Honda. I’ve had both a Toro and now this Honda—the Honda was well worth the extra money. I’ve never even used the electric start—smooth and powerful.

Yeah this stuff is going to stick around for a while.

Nearly 13" total in Orland, with drifts close to 2' Like Tbone, we also cleared in the AM and with the Lake Effect snow falling most of the day, after supper I had to go back out and clear the additional 2-3". Also had to shovel about a 20-25 square foot area on the back lawn so the dog has a spot to do her business.

It was heavy, wet snow that was not fun to move around. I'm a bit sore today.

All next week looks bitter cold, I would rather have another foot of snow. I hate the bitter cold.

It's not just that it's going to be cold as shit, but it's supposed to be around 40 on Thursday with 1/2 inch of rain so everything will be nice and soaked before it freezes.

Honda is top of the line today, no doubt. I doubt any single stage would have fared well in that heavy, wet snow. I know plowing with the truck was a challenge- the snow didn't flow away and the piles would lump up before you could move them off.

I am tempted to get a single stage blower for the ten feet in front of my garage door and sidewalk, it would be easier than back blading with the truck and less deep-cycle thatching around the sidewalk. I might try the eGO, or look for a Stihl to go with my Stihl battery blower

Yeah really. November, December, and the first 25 days or so of January were all pretty easy for the most part. The next two weeks are going to be absolutely brutal.

Rain finally switched to snow out here (thunder snow even). Going to be a great 10 days.

I think growing up I was use to the weather swinging from cold to warm and the snow not sticking around for more than a week or so (not counting the cold winters in first half of 80’sj. We haven’t been able to get any real thaw for over a month now to get the ice out of water tanks and pens. It kind of wears on you after a while.

Coming down pretty hard right now in Wisconsin. Calling for 2-4 inches but hoping for the low end of that of course.
