This truly has been incredible. There's so many moving parts to this story it's hard to keep up.

There is some genuine momentum behind GME especially if Cohen is going to be involved transforming their business. Chewy is a helluva success story as they pretty much have wrestled online sales of pet supplies away from Amazon.

The new generation of consoles is digital only and pivoting to custom PC's won't work as the type of person doing a custom PC build typically does it themselves with parts from Newegg.

The new generation of consoles are not digital only.

Most PS5 models are. You have to pay extra to get one that can take a physical game disk. The only people I know buying the version with the game disk are doing so because it's the only one available.

When the Federal Reserve is shorting GameStock, not much you can do about it.

I know all about PS5s. You can pay less to get one without a disk drive, which isn't a great idea because the hard drive size is shit so you're buying a bigger SSD immediately (well whenever enough games finally come out). They're bought out immediately by bots and resold anyway, you're lucky if you get to pick what you want.

My new Xbox has an internal 1tb solid state drive and a disc drive for what I'm not totally sure maybe just for blue rays but it all came standard as far as I know.
I haven't bought a physical copy of a game in probably 6 years.

I mean I'm not sure there's a big difference. Inhave an Xbox but its really only because my friends had Xbox when bought it and I had people to play with. If they had ps I'd have bought that.
I think the xbox one x has a very very slight speed advantage over the ps5 and maybe a storage advantage but not sure its all that significant.

Well my perspective is only from the Xbox side. I'm sure a ps guy would say differently. Ford Chevy. Whatever. Just get what the majority of your friends have. And with cross play becoming more common it really won't matter soon.

PC is a weird wasteland of hackers and modders. Now consoles are catching up to pcs. At least... now. In a year I'm sure the pcs will blow the current consoles out of the water.
