I was helping a lady who was interested in a position at our company and I gave her information and everything, and then all my co-workers said I was all thirsty today. What are they talking about?

Normally thirsty means you’re putting something out there that makes you seem desperate (for attention, complements, sex, etc.).

In this context it sounds like they’re telling you that you went over the top trying to help this lady.
