For several months I just couldn't take it around here anymore. It was getting really bad. Everyone was just screaming horrible things at each other. It started to affect me more that I was comfortable with. Almost to an embarrassing degree. Plus, I felt I was being... typecast? Maybe thats not right. I felt like people were looking at the things I said which were said earnestly thru a lens of who they thought I was. Kinda like some didn't read my posts beyond the username and jumped to conclusions.
I got away for quite a few months. Didn't look back.
Then I just felt the urge to talk about football and wagering. I just wanted to talk about the things the board was really founded on. So I created a username that was the polar opposite of me. Talked about gambling and football.

I'm disappointed in those that felt the need to "out" me. Those with access to my ip address spread the word quickly and efficiently. All I wanted was to engage honestly without the preconception of what I was "really" saying. I wanted to talk without some folks thinking I was using weird "code words" that I dont know anything about.

All I can say to some of you guys is I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of restarting if I wanted you to gleefully out me.

Anyway it completely failed. Partially because of shitty moderating and partly my fault for using certain cadences and phrases that are unique to my style. Its disappointing honestly.

The GayGuy seemed consistently nicer than Darkside. I felt like he was trying to groom sexually insecure CFMB posters. I had him pegged, pun intended, for some Canadian dude who drank one too many Molson’s and stumbled upon this place.

This is quite honestly one reason why I switched. Gayguy was nearly identical to me. You know me, you should know my record. I've always helped anyone I could here in any way I could. I've always been quite generous and honest. I've brokered wagers for people who didn't know me but trusted me and paid when I should have. I've helped countless posters with heating and cooling problems, including tons of in person visits. I never really profited from any of it. I never asked for anything. Dozens (DOZENS OF US!) have been to the estates and received proper hospitality. But something about what some have said about me painted your perceptions of me. Until I said nearly the same things as someone else, then you thought I was nicer.
