I dunno if it was KC's belief in their ability to comeback if they got behind early or general complacency. Mahomes didn't do his team any favors early on with several bad misses, a few overthrows, a couple throws at foot-level. Maybe if Mahomes connects a few more times in the first half and it's a closer game down the stretch Tampa's defense isn't so emboldened to try to wipe him out on every play.

i just saw on tv that Mahomes tonight ran for 498 yards behind the line of scrimmage! Almost 500 yards behind the line!

Agreed. I had 6 and 4 for a $500 square, and of course the Chiefs call timeouts then let Brady march right down the field before halftime. So I was pretty much done after that.
