I think you can recognize it and appreciate it without getting into a lot of nuance. As a small child our teachers would play Bach, Mozart, Handel et all and I still appreciate and listen to it from time to time even if I can’t tell you anything about the pieces beyond personal reflections or feelings they may elicite. Same as the time on Impressionism, pointillism, realism and so on that Ms Liz spent on us cretins.
