Well, one of two things will happen:

1) he'll skip the middleman and sell his union pillow directly to consumers

2) he'll say he tried to work with a union, talks broke down, and sell directly to consumers anyway, making more money. Isn't the whole business model of Dollar Shave Club that they bought all these cheap Korean razors in bulk and simply rebranded them? That's probably the play here.
