The overall theme so far seems to be how we accept death.

OK. I'll slog through. I did kinda learn my lesson with the last season of True Detective. I still don't quite know why setups have to be a slog. Somehow the producers of Fargo and many others never had that problem.

It seems like you've already decided you aren't going to like it.

Wrong. Just because I have a conspiracy theory going that this slogging is the latest thing in art cinema, doesn't mean I wish for ANYTHING to suck. True Detective S3 was, IMO, better than S1.

Reed Richards is trending #1 on Twitter right now because MANY people think he will show up in the next episode of Wandavision.

Please John Krasinski.

This show is awesome. They still have to nail the landing though. With only 3 episodes left I'm worried they won't really get too far in the story and we'll have to wait 18 months for a season 2. Though, they do seem to be hinting there may be no reason for a season 2 which would mean the story is complete. They do have about 18 other Marvel shows to tie it into if they need to coming up.

As I understand it this show opens the door for the multiverse which will directly affect Doctor Strange 2, Spider Man 3, and the entire MCU going forward.

Which would also open the door for mutants.

Idk if it needs a s2.

I do agree it’s gotten progressively more awesome every week tho.

I want them to have the guts to keep Wanda as the villain for now, eventually having Ian McKellen Magneto show up as helping her.

I don’t think they will though. I'd bet Hayward is shown as the "true" villain this season.

There is going to be a cameo by a major actor that hasn’t leaked yet.

Paul Bettany confirmed this.

Could be McKellan, or Patrick Stewart.

Or Mephisto/Nightmare could be played by an A lister, and that is the big reveal.

Also, yeah Hayward seems to be nefarious.

Doctor Strange has already been leaked to appear.

Apparently, it’s someone even the leakers don’t know about yet.

that's what some fans want, but it's not based on fact.

Who would have guessed that Jim from The Office would end up being such a big star that fans are starting hopeful rumors that he shows up for a few minutes in a super hero streaming show?

Him and Emily Blunt have been fancast for years as Reed Richards and Susan Storm.

Would be cool.

Fantastic 4 is going to be a big deal in the coming phases of the MCU.

As well as the supervillain forever tied to their storylines.

Krasinski was almost cast as Captain America way back when.

I'd rather have young, unknown actors that don't get in the way of the character

I’m good with Krasinski and Blunt, because their storyline kind of has to be fast tracked to catch up with the MCU since Disney didn’t have the rights to their characters until last year.

Their children are very important to a few major storylines, and I worry if Richards and Storm are are cast too young it just wouldn’t work.

To each is own tho.

There are also rumors Joseph Gordon Levitt has been talking with Kevin Feige/Disney about a future MCU role as well.

Finished E5. You were right. The first 2 flowed nicely into 3-5. I apologize for the ignorance.

In fairness, before I watched the first two episodes I had seen in multiple spots that you should be patient with the show so I avoided being like 312player who dropped out after 10 minutes and will never watch the show.

There was a particular comment I read somewhere about the 3 episodes being a homage to 60's and 70s sitcoms. All said and done, it couldn't have been further from the truth. But I judged E1 as an homage. WRONG!!! I'm not a super power genre guy, but this is watchable. It helps that Olsen is a charismatic classic beauty. I've fallen pretty hard for her.

I thought they were transitioning him into Robin at the end of dark knight but they just threw that down and never picked it up

Yeah Nolan wanted to do something besides Batman, and WB decided to end that iteration of the franchise right there.

They did lead everyone to believe he was going to take up some kind of Robin role.

Episode 7 is a Modern Family episode i think.

Lots of stuff happens.

The real villain is revealed. Maybe.

And a new hero origin story.

Plus a mid credits scene.

Very cool episode.

Who is the revealed villain working for?

In hindsight, anyone deeply familiar with Marvel comics (not me) probably surmised that Agnes could be Agatha Harkness, who was Wanda's teacher.

On another note, I think it's really cool how they pay attention to little details, such as blending last week's recap into the Marvel fanfare intro. I don't skip the recap for that reason...it adds excitement/anticipation. I also just found out that the current fanfare, which debuted with Doctor Strange, was composed by Michael Giacchino, who is one of my favorite film score composers.

This concert would have been cool to attend:

I’m really enjoying the rumors about who is going to be the big end of season cameo.
