She's very talented, but she's too much of a lib. It's very hard to forgive the mournful piano performance of "Hallelujah" while dressed as Hillary Clinton. Very, very hard.

From what I had heard about Dan Levy I expected him to be funnier but, (aside from ethnicity) there's not much difference between he and Bowen Yang.

Was Pheobe Bridger's attempt at smashing her guitar supposed to go that poorly? Was that part of a gag or something?

Yeah that was awkward. Plus she’s not a very good singer and looked like a member of the Partridge Family playing guitar.

I don't recall any work he has done that his dad hasn't created and starred in. I watched some of Schitt's Creek and he certainly wasn't the star of that show. His role was to basically be a funny stereotype.

Probably the Arabs in rural and inner-city communities don't know how to get online to schedule an appointment.

Can you imagine if Trump had said something so condescending and obviously racist? I'm going to say there are a lot of black and Hispanic people who are outraged by it. They just aren't talked about or given any time by CNN. MSNBC, NYT, or WaPo. Maybe Biden gets a pass from some people because he's so obviously demented. But here's a black guy who was obviously and rightfully offended:

And after four years of twisting every single word uttered by Trump into the worst possible inference, I'm not going to accept the media covering for Old Joe with "This is what he was really trying to say..."

Some guy on Twitter is funnier and more daring than anything SNL has done in years. I saw that they dressed up a fat girl in dreadlocks to pile on Ted Cruz as their bit last night.
Somehow Biden is spared...

Biden saying Black people can't get online is not even considered an issue by the American media, which added "without evidence" to about everything Trump said for the past year. And if it was one gaffe by Biden it would be more understandable. But this is from the same guy who said "you ain't black" and "gonna put y'all back in chains" in his code switching voice. Biden said that his entire reason for running was Trump's "fine people on both sides" comment supporting white supremacy, which, of course, is a complete media fabrication of what he was saying.

Yet Biden is treated like a savior and an enlightened voice because he's not Trump.

Right. That guy's Tik Tok is way funnier than anything I've seen on SNL recently. But it's edgy and in an "incorrect" way. It isn't mocking the right people. SNL has become a propaganda arm for corporate Democrats and neoliberalism. Hallelujah.

They’ve always gone after presidents . It’ll be interesting to see if that continues especially considering the goldmine of parody that Biden provides .

Biden spoke poorly.

He was simply saying that poor people don't have the internet. Which is true. So they have to find different ways to get a shot. It wasn't racist.

I don't even know if there is a phone center in cook county to make an appointment.

I've done the cook county site, Walgreens, cvs and Meijer all on line. Just waiting for my turn.

This Micheal Che character goes by his middle name btw. Named after Che Gueverra. Israel's existence is problematic. China putting its Muslim population into concentration camps? Come on man, that's just their culture.

I tend to agree with that. The problem is I'm not sure how we trust the media or even how we can reasonably communicate when there are different standards based on nothing but preconceived feelings for people.

Do you think Trump was saying that Nazis are fine people? Here's the answer: He wasn't. But the media has stated over and over again that he was.

Should we take what people say at face value with no consideration for nuance or context, i.e. like Greg Brady and EXACT WORDS, or do we try to use our brains rather than rushing to condemn those we don't like or with whom we have general philosophical disagreement?

They didnt have a good actor to consistently play him and no way were they going to put Beck Bennett in blackface, like they did Sandler for Bill Cosby

I really don't want to go down this rabbit hole, but it must be pointed out that one of trump's universally acknowledged traits is his ability to talk about certain issues like a mob boss when the heat may be on. He'll say just enough to get his people on his track and believing that they have his support. It makes the whole "exact words" defense as hollow as the argument that he wasn't/isn't a politician.

Universally acknowledged by whom?

Bdiden talks way more like a mob boss than Trump. You don't like that, Jack? You want schum? You want schum, fat?

Michael Che made a joke that Israel is withholding covid vaccination from Arabs so that they'll die. Thank you, Michael, very cool!

The joke doesn't even work in that there's not a "half." Arabs aren't half the population (though not for lack of trying).
