I agree. That's absolutely what he's doing. Which is fine for his "money grab" attempt. I just don't like the "Poor me" attitude he takes. And trying to use his audience for sympathy on this shit.

I like Chapelle a lot, but don't think he's the GOAT or even in the same league as George Carlin (as a standup comic, not as a sketch writer/performer).

i think he's today's Carlin and the closest we can get.

He is the only ones w balls to speak without being scared of the PC mob. Same w/ Bill Burr.

I can get saying guys like Carlin, Pryor, Eddie, etc were better. But it's pretty crazy to me to say Chappelle isn't in their league.

i would say he's better because he takes unpopular social stands when it's more difficult to do so in these times than the past. And he took his own personal stand not to accept $80 million from comedy central and won.

I recently purchased tickets to go see he and Rogan in Vegas in July. I haven't been this excited to see a comic since Carlin 16 years ago.

I would prefer to see Chappelle in a club (more intimate venue) but he doesn't do that very often -- and when he does, I believe they sell entire tables, not individual seats. So MGM will have to do!
