Everybody pick a driver each week. Nobody picks the same guy, picking is first come first served. The thread will be posted weekly AFTER QUALIFYING. By rule, I get to pick Jeff Burton each week. Tally up the points of the driver yous pick each week and reset the field after the Richmond race. This will be a 5 week play-in to the Chase For The Cup.

This means there will only be 43 spots available in this contest. SO SIGN UP EARLY AND OFTEN(you mults yous).

Then, starting with the first Chase race at New Hampshire, the Top 12 posters shall be assigned to the driver corresponding in the NEXTEL CUP standings. They keep this driver for the duration of the Chase. The chosen 12 will also get to pick a driver out of the Chase to make things more interesting. And rack up the points for the championship.

Folks, I think Carl Edwards and the #99 Office Depot/AFLAC Ford Fusion will be backflipping in victory lane again tomorrow night in Bristol, TN. He really seemed to turn on the gas in the second half of the 3M Performance 400 at Michigan last Sunday, and I really believe he wants to cut even further into the overall Sprint Cup points lead of Kyle Busch of the #18 M&M's Toyota with only 2 more races after tomorrow before the Top 12 drivers in points compete in NASCAR's "Chase for the Cup". SHARK's Pick: Carl Edwards.

Lookee here racefans!

Awesome Bill from Dawsonville qualified fifth!

They may have to cancel CollegeFootball next week for the victory parade if Bill Elliott brings home the checkered flag.

Kyle Busch is a punk ass. Wants to start smashing up cars AFTER the checkered flag.
'Cause he's NEVER bumped into another car in his entire racing career.

If you can't stand Kyle Busch and the #18 M & M's Toyota, there's a reason. Kyle's name has been mud among NASCAR fans since the conclusion of the first of two Sprint Cup races at Richmond. Fans there booed what Kyle did to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and the #88 National Guard/AMP Energy Chevy when it appeared as if Dale Jr. was on the verge of taking the checkered flag. Busch seemed to cheapshot the #88 with only a few laps remaining, costing Dale Jr. a chance to win that night. Kyle has become as unpopular as Dale Jr.'s teammate with Hendrick Motorsports, the #24 DuPont Chevy of Jeff Gordon, and fans will actually cheer anytime Gordon doesn't finish a race.

Where are you cutting and pasting this from? It's old info - Kyle Busch hasn't been J. Gordon's teammate for a year now....

I think he meant Dale was Jeff's teammate...

That's exactly what I meant. Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s #88 National Guard/AMP Energy Chevy, the #24 DuPont Chevy for Jeff Gordon, and the defending Sprint Cup Champion, the #48 Lowe's Chevy of Jimmie Johnson, all drive for Rick Hendrick. Casey Mears, who currently drives the #5 CarQuest Chevy, also drives for Hendrick, but will have a new ride next season. For the record, Kyle Busch drives the #18 M & M's Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing.
