I really dig this turn of phrase, maybe because Mike Tomlin uses it to great effect.

Feels like it's more prevalent in the community.

I'm adding it to my repertoire.

Definitely off topic here but this post reminded me of the Instagram account Nature is Metal. It's a lot of quality kills from the animal kingdom.

Here's a deer that apparently "won" a battle with a rival but now has to walk through life with his rotting head attached at the antlers:

That face looking back? Whoa.

Things of that nature disturb me. I blame Myers-Briggs.

Surprised the other elk didn’t die, more than a few bucks and bulls have died after being unable to unlock horns. Not sure I’ve seen any be able to rip the other head off after it rots. Crazy. Luckily only had a few more weeks after this picture was taken before he sheds those antlers.

Someone dropped this in an interview with me.

I almost shed a tear.

Might be time to retire "and what not" in favor of this.

Yikes...I would not want to see a video of how that happened.

I've only occasionally heard this. But on a different note, I heard a commercial for some Medicare product the other day and the lead character was named Andromeda. I couldn't believe it, looked up and had my fear met when I saw that yes, she was Black.

Black folks and Hollywood types give their kids the most fucked up names.

Two of my oldest friends immediately popped to mind  They wouldn't approve.

This sounds like something Michael Jeffrey Jordan would say.

I didn't mention it at the time, but I almost shed a tear the first time you matter-of-factly worked it into a post.

It was beautiful.

I know a guy who always uses the phrase "at the end of the day" and he really puts an emphasis on it.

JBills has it, but he is waiting to post until Zack Snyder does an extended version of it.

My company presently loves the word 'leverage.' One recent memo advised us to 'leverage the filters' on an excel file

Loved that song off of David Lee Roth's album Skyscraper back in the day. A fun up-tempo double-bass shuffle by Greg Bissonette (Dixon endorsee and long timer with Ringo's All Starr Band).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PePU_gBt8Yk

Didn't say it was great...just a fun one...

Bissonette has been working with bassist Leland Sklar recently. I've been watching Sklar's videos lately...here is a good one of him walking through the old A&M studios where he recorded countless famous records.

Heard it twice today.

One of these days, we're going to have to chop it up and discuss things of this nature and things of that nature.

I dismissed Greg Bisonette out of hand years ago because of his ridiculous mullet and Mapex endorsement. I blame Modern Drummer.

He's super talented and a really nice guy to boot.
