Worst executive in town

Hub asked a funny question. It was something like: " Ryan, if you had a top 5 QB, would you ever consider trading him?" I get his point but a better question would be: "How many of these QB trade rumors are BS?" Either way, Hub always comes off as the guy who defends the current Bears starting QB to the bitter end.

Hub likes to give the impression that he's close with these guys.

The media deserves an F for their off-season reporting to this point. Pushing rumors, adding commentary ("Bears are so desperate to trade for a QB, they are offering multiple 1st round picks for Wentz'" being reported all over the place), not understanding the cap, who is actually available (and for what), etc.

It's all likely agent driven, after all, moving to a major market likely increases local/national sponsorship opportunities. Not sure how much they pay the Cubs players who barely speak English for the local lawyer/car spots, but making a few extra easy dollars likely is appealing to anyone.

Always do find the incestuous relationship between the sports media and agents interesting, there has to be something more than being given the "scoop" on breaking news on the line. It would be easy for an agent to throw a few bucks at a poorly paid local NBC(fill in the city) Sportsnetwork reporter in an effort to get their client moved into a bigger market.
