Strictly a game manager and an upgrade over Foles. Use the draft to get a QB, build the OL and get some defensive players to replace Hicks/Fuller/Treviathan.

I think Dalton is more consistent. Foles has had a few very good stretches, followed by a lot of bad.

It makes sense in that McCaskey is not letting Pace make any long-term moves at QB because he is basically operating on a "win or else" deal.

Dalton seems like a mild to moderate upgrade over Foles based on what we saw of Foles last year.

I don't think it's fine because the Bears could conceivably win 9 games with Dalton, thereby paving the way to extensions for Pace and Nagy.
