Strictly a game manager and an upgrade over Foles. Use the draft to get a QB, build the OL and get some defensive players to replace Hicks/Fuller/Treviathan.

This makes no sense. You already have Dalton on the team in Foles.

So stupid

Don't forget the Glennon money.

40 plus million and still no QB.

I love it. These clowns deserve everything coming their way.

I think Dalton is more consistent. Foles has had a few very good stretches, followed by a lot of bad.

Between Dalton, Foles, Glennon, Chase Daniel and Mitch, among others, Pace has spent nearly $50 million on the quarterback position since the start of the 2017 season.

So Dalton has not had stretches of bad?

I just don't see it.

WTF?

It's early in free agency.

You just HAD to have Dalton?

That is a guy you sign after the draft. This fucking guy jumps the gun every time and still overpays. Why, oh why, is he still the GM of this team?

It makes sense in that McCaskey is not letting Pace make any long-term moves at QB because he is basically operating on a "win or else" deal.

Dalton seems like a mild to moderate upgrade over Foles based on what we saw of Foles last year.

Any move that hastens the departure of this regime and doesn't hurt the future is fine.

Dalton sucks, but for 1 year and $10M its fine.

If he was not going to let him make any long term moves then he should have just fired them at the end of this year.

This is beyond stupid.

Already covered.

Exactly. If the Bears were truly interested in winning, Pace and Nagy both would have been launched on January 4th.

Right, it's cheap and stupid.

Brissett signed with Miami, 1 year I don't know the $$$ but that would have even been better, at least a different style @ QB.

I would rather pay (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for a year, draft a QB, and go from there.

There's no difference and it wouldn't cost $10 mil.

What is the point of this?

At least dalton is mobile and able to escape the pocket and make plays when this terrible o line cant provide enough time to protect him. Oh wait

I don't think it's fine because the Bears could conceivably win 9 games with Dalton, thereby paving the way to extensions for Pace and Nagy.

Well thats the Bearsiest scenario, so now I fully expect it to happen.

Thanks a lot.

The point is that Nagy thinks Mitch was the problem and that his system is brilliant, a fact that he intends to prove next year.
