Let's not overlook the horrible Quinn contract--which most knew was bad at the time the signing was announced.

Listing the Bears current deals that aren't bad might be a quicker exercise at this point.

*so that they can have the NFL’s biggest talent gap between the WR and QB rooms.

I really don't know why the Bears would keep Jimmy Graham for $8m or whatever. Kmet showed enough to be the main TE. Would've been better to keep Fuller and dump Graham.

Fuller and Jaire would look awfully good together. The Packers wrote his last contract so maybe they will write his next one.

The next Bears press conference:

McCaskey, "Did we sign a stud QB.... NO"
"Did we keep our defense together.....NO"
"Did we sign an all star FA...… NO"
"Did we improve our draft capital..... NO"
"Did we settle on an offensive identity.... NO"
"Did we execute our off season plan..... NO"
"Did I just save a bunch of money by switching to GEICO...… YES!"
"Do we need a football guy..... NO. It's so easy a caveman can do it."

Only the Bears would dump 30 million per year into the WR position, with no oline, no QB and a draft loaded at WR.

I am but I still have thoughts on other teams and my agreement was genuine. Your attitude just lost my vote though. :drunken:

Not so much, Bob. The Packers can beat up on the Bears and Vikings during the regular season, but repeatedly fail in the playoffs.

At least we know the Bears will suck next year. The Packers will gone into the season with Super Bowl hopes that get squashed again in January.

Great point. Get rid of Graham's contract and $6 or $7 million on the Dalton contract, and it would be a lot easier to keep Fuller.

Yeah but somewhere they had to spend money on a QB. They just picked a bad one.

It's funny how some people think all these shitty moves are leading up to something bigger. Maybe they are just bad moves after failing to make desperate trades.

IF they do nothing significant, I think it is safe to say that they got long-term extensions early last season.

Yup, remember how defensive George and Ted got when they were asked about the contract status of Pace and Nagy?

Couldn't answer really simple questions.

Pete Carroll is the only reason Russell isn't in a Bears uniform.

Fuller was great and trading him to Seattle would have been ideal. But, don't you remember all those whiffed interceptions (some of which should have been taken straight to the house for 6)? I sure as hell do. The $11 million savings is only worth it if Russell is in a Bears uniform come training camp. He's got to speak up about wanting to come or multiple people in that front office must tell VP Carroll the Bears deal is too good to turn down.

Peter Carroll is the #1 reason I thought these trade rumors were hot garbage from the start. He's a 70 year old guy. Do you honestly think he wants to trade his star QB and spend his 70's desperately trying to find a QB? Cmon.

Well, I don't know about hot garbage. Pace and Schneider met in North Dakota. But yes, this looks like either ownership has to step in or Russell needs to actively demand a trade. Russell speaking up is much more likely.
