It’s dumb to think everyone’s motives are the same.

I think the person buying a car is being dumb because they could be putting that money into an income generating property and being there own boss.

Their.

"Their could be putting that money..." sure that makes sense.

Right.... that 1st year depreciation you can save by buying a used car is going to be a game changer for everyone.

I pay for the car in cash. No financing. The $500 per month I save on a monthly car payment is socked away for down payments on rental properties. The money I make on the rental properties is much sweeter than paying money on a depreciating asset.

Until the government decides that people don't have to pay rent but owners still have to pay their mortgages. Not that politicians would ever pander to the financially overexposed.

I could just as easily assert that people shouldn't eat anything but lentils and rice, as there is no point on spending money on food unless it's to impress somebody enough to have sex with you.

A car should help you achieve certain objectives. So should other purchases and investments.

This is why I have other income streams.

It's dumb to pay cash. Someone of your economic prowess can definitely invest the money and make more than the interest on the car loan.

I ain't buying $20,000 cars  . I already said I'm using the money I'm NOT spending on a car payment to get income generating properties. The more money I make from the properties allows me to buy more properties which gives me more money to buy more properties.
