Anybody got any ideas for a quick weekend trip but not on a plane? We are trying to avoid my husband's family.

Thanks.

Galena. We did the same thing over Thanksgiving to avoid my Wife's family.

Galena is nice depending on how open it is. Blaum Brothers distillery has a nice little bar outside of town. It was fun around Memorial Day a few years back at least.

Unfortunately, Costco is closed on Easter Sunday.

I’m hitting up scenic Sioux Falls next week for an evening. I’ll scout it for you guys. Pretty sure Kristi Neom has it open 100%.

I didnt know it was only a 9 hr drive from Chicago. That's a nice quick trip. But i think they don't wear masks over there.

If they do it will be in East River South Dakota as they are almost to different states. But I doubt I’m there that long.it’s a shorter drive from where I am. There is a 10% chance I just round trip it.

Yep, c'mon over. Mom's making pierogi and polish sausage for Easter evening since my son and I are both working Sunday. My wife will be in Milwaukee, so you can stay here. (Mr. Spaulding and any offspring can get a motel nearby...)

Unfortunately we found out how closed it was on Easter while taking an anniversary weekend out there.

but if you want to do outdoorsey stuff, you have a lot of hiking places to choose from. just downtown will be very limited.

Most car dealerships should be open, at least on Saturday. If you go car shopping in St Louis you should be covered.

washington DC is an easy 10.5 drive. You can go with us and leave the driving to me.

Calandra Hulitt might be available to babysit for you while you are on your Easter getaway.

I don't think there will be any fun places to go with this COVID shit. Nothing worth a long drive. Here's what you do, Spaulding. You tell them you're going somewhere without going anywhere. That's how you avoid them. Tricky part is they're gonna wanna see pictures. You can just say the wi fi was dead the entire time.

I'll hang out with your husband's family if you don't want to. What the hell? I'll take your place. They'll probably be nice to me. I can be charming. PM me their address and tell them I'm coming. What's for dinner?

Sorry, I absolutely had to make that remark. My hands were tied.
