Oregon State fought off the comeback. OK State got it down to 2 but now it's 9 . this one is going down to the end too - but #12 can advance.

3 and then a steal and a 3 , it's a 3 point game now. wow. all in like 5 seconds.

Oregon State - took a lot of comebacks but answered back! Game was much closer than the score indicates.

Loyola better be ready for these guys.

My wife's boss' husband who is friends with the coach from Alabama just texted and asked if I wanted to go along to watch the game in Indy tonight. 5 hour drive down, watch the game and drive 5 hours back. I said thanks but no thanks.

I saw on TMZ last year he got pulled over and busted for something and he was still talking about how highly rated he was in high school.

The NCAA tournament schedule this year is horrible.

Games on Mondays are bad.
Now, no games until Saturday.

I'm guessing it's a one time COVID thing but go back to Thursday through Sunday for the first two weekends.

You can make some surprising money playing abroad. Kleinschmidt is a friend of friends and I know he made millions in Japan, not including a free apartment with a great view, a luxury car and a full time "housekeeper" paid for by the team. I saw something on the internet a couple of years ago where some guy who used to play for Loyola had a 10+ year career playing in France making a bundle

I agree but there are some leagues that are more prestigious than others and I don't think Korea is one of them.

I remember that Chris Herren documentary where he was playing in Italy that he made a pretty good buck but it was all going into his arm.

Also, I doubt when Alexander picked up that Kansas hat that he viewed it as a stepping stone to the Korean League.

Last Chance U is a nice peek into the JUCO programs and how they operate, but it also reinforces all the yes-men around these high school kids. The system is utterly broken and it will never be fixed unless basketball declines in popularity and money.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I'm sure glad Cliff didn't come to IL. EVERYBODY is hanging on that kid waiting for a check now.

you're nuts dude, the schedule has been amazing. Best ever.

Loved the Friday start. Can't really take off work 2 days in a row so normally I would have to wait to start watching the Thursday opening games until 4:00 or so. I would be way behind and I would fall asleep before the end so i would have to get up early on Friday and finish off the first round games before the friday games start at 11:00. So I would take all day off on Friday to do that.

This year no games on Thursday so no problem. No need to get up early on Friday to watch games so I could go to the office and work a solid half day. Was able to work till noon or so before coming home to watch games. And if I didn't finish them, no big deal. I just woke up Saturday and watched the friday night games I missed.

Then games all day Saturday which was perfect.

As for this Monday. the only games on during the day were the double header. I was able to watch that in my office while I worked. Then there were 6 games on last night which i was able to watch no problem.


Now here is where the new schedule really shines. Sweet 16 weekedn. Normally there would be competing double headers on Thursday and Friday night and you had to choose which game to watch. I hate that because I want to see all the S16 games. But now with the new schedule we have the S16 games all back to back to back on Saturday and Sunday. no more competing double headers. And as a bonus we get 4 games on Saturday instead of the usual 2 elite 8 games.

Then its all topped off with two awesome elite 8 double headers Monday and Tuesday next week.

Fun Fact: Tommy and his Japan teammates were big fans of my reality show Love Cruise. Tommy and I were drinking buddies in school so he wanted to see the show and dragged some teammates along and they ended up watching every episode together. I learned this a few years later when I randomly had physical therapy at Athletico on Fullerton and Tommy was there getting PT as well. Hadn't seen him in a while before that.

And he did great in Japan. Made a lot of money and was a fan favorite with his long blonde hair. The locals loved him.
