i also watch the local nightly news fairly regularly. mostly for the weather. the same weather that i can get a pretty thorough run down on my phone. I also subscribe to Kiplinger and the WSJ and read articles pertaining to "How to fix Social Security" and "Where will bond yields be in 20 years"

I hadn't thought about it before, but I guess that routinely watching the 5 o'clock news equals old.

Yup. Right after dinner.

Then to bed right after The Wheel.

I usually make through at least half of whatever game comes on by 7:30. I guess that it makes me a little less old.

i like "nightly" feel of the 10:00 news. like its the end of the day and we are here to wrap it up with the imagery of the lit up qc area in the background.

i'm still a night owl though. I watch the 10:00 news, about a half hour of Bloomberg daybreak asia, and then read for a half hour or more and go to bed.
