Lowest NBA All Star game rating in history. I guess MLB wants some of that.

No one cares about those games anymore, hell, a third of this board routinely crows that. And hockey didn't even have one and no one here seemed to notice.

Well, Sixers vs Bucks last week on ESPN got a .6. I have my own theory on why the NBA is down 40% and only part of it is SJW ideology.

Where are the ratings for skiing and men's gymnastics?

And btw, virtually all ratings are down, while selective outrage is up massively.

Comparing NBA ratings to those of skiing and men's gymnastics? Seems about right. Which sport pulls more?

I'm touching on the op. But neglected to mention swimming. Enjoy.

Not fair. Everyone knows black people can't swim.

It's all good, we still have a solid hold on college football and basketball and slowly are taking back the NFL.

That hasn't been the case since 1970. The Bear and the Wizard of Westwood saw to that.

You know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m waiting for the day when you can make an argument beyond your bitter lowlife persona.

I smelled pot smoke mixed with tobacco yesterday, while walking out of the theater in Gurnee.

Was it Dbag and bagels?

One would think that the absurdity of all the racism accusations might open some eyes. Apparently not.

The Democrat Party has no other tools left except to manipulate people with race. Disagree with voter I.D. laws? Racist. Recall Gavin Newsom? Racist. Support Donald Trump? Racist. Want your kids to go back to school? White Supremacist. Think that judging and grouping people by the color of their skin is wrong and immoral? Racist. Think we should keep the filibuster in the Senate? Racist. Think we should enforce our own border? Racist. Fiscally Conservative? Racist. Like the Electoral College? Racist. Aren't ashamed of being white? Racist. Watch Fox News? Racist. Disagree with all the accusations of racism? Racist.

It is amazing to think that it works as effectively as it does with otherwise rational people. It is so patently obvious at this point. Sort of like a case study on what you can get people to believe with effective propaganda.

Then again, Republicans are too stupid and oblivious to call it out or effectively argue against it.

agree 100% until the last sentence.

european media (english only) made a minor issue out of poland's players standing, while england's players knelt - right before kickoff of their wc qualifier match. england is much more in the blm corner at many more levels than continental europe.

at the eu level, poland and hungary are the 'rebel' governments that don't back germany's position on immigration - hence those 2 nations are the current biggest beneficiaries of eu subsidies.

Someone should tell that to Kevin Durant. He missed the memo.

He certainly missed a suspension. Has the NBA suspended any other players within the last few months for using "derogatory and offensive language" on social media platforms?

They were private text messages that Rapaport decided to make public. He should’ve have even been fined. And anyone who calls themselves a friend of his should call him out for being a thin-skinned snitch.

Let’s apply that to Donald Sterling .

Surprised JLN has not pointed out that Durant's discipline is limited via the CBA between the players union and the league whereas Sterling's was not.

It was more the “ these were private text messages / conversations that were made public “ part of it I was referring to.

What point do you think you're making here? Is it that because Donald Sterling's ownership of the Clippers wasn't governed by the players' union CBA that punishing him for the contents of a private conversation was acceptable? But Durant was also punished (governed by the CBA under which Meyers Leonard was given a fine and suspension for derogatory language) for the content of a private conversation.

BRogue's point was that if we should at all consider the manner by which we came to know about KD's words in his punishment, then the same standard should have applied to Donald Sterling, who similarly had a conversation that he thought was private leaked. And then you come in with "hur durr, why isn't JLN talking about the CBA"? Try again, dumbass.

I hope we are not worried that white people are getting a rougher brand of justice in America than blacks. That would be something.

Sterling was in a position of power and what he was saying could have revealed how he dealt professionally with his own organization. The woman was a biznitch for leaking it, no doubt, but Durant was clearly just “clowning” with a peer. The standard is different because the situation was not the same.

So Kevin Durant, one of the richest humans on the planet with a following of literally millions of people, has no power.

Sterling had a long history of racially questionable incidents. The leaked audio was the last straw of a life on the edge. Choose a better example than Donald Sterling given what we know about him.

So Donald Sterling isn't entitled to privacy because of "a long history of racially questionable [huh?] incidents"?

But let's keep this simple: Should the fact that conversations were originally held in private be factored in when the content of the conversation comes to light?
