Baylor UCLA just has no juice.

I’m assuming Gonzaga is gonna Gonzaga, but watching Baylor skullfuck an 11 seed doesn’t seem all that enticing.

That's on Baylor. No one except Janet Reno gives a shit about Waco.

Someone obviously hasn’t spent much time in front of HGTV over the past decade.

Don't know about that. All depends on if Kispert is going to show up for the first time all month. Odds are he won't in which case you should take that bet.

Kid hit his ceiling. It's not his fault 3 others developed and went by him and now he's the 4th option

Sure you can. Those teams did exist.

Doesn’t matter if they wouldn’t exist now. They did and they were better than teams now.

Nardi wrote:
That's exactly why you can compare them. In the Big East's heyday, 2 or 3 teams from that conference alone would beat Gonzaga. Hell, think about that 1984 Carolina team that lost to Indiana.

You guys are missing the point. Obviously those teams are better than Gonzaga or any great team from this era because this era doesn't have very many NBA upper classmen and definitely doesn't have any upper classmen future NBA stars.

That's why it's not fair to compare those teams to Gonzaga. Those teams wouldn't exist if they were playing in this era. Gonzaga is playing under a much harder set of circumstances if the goal is to build an all time great team.

So yes, to put it in simple terms that you guys can understand, Gonzaga is NOT as good as the great teams from our youth. Those teams had it much easier than Gonzaga when it comes to roster building and player retention.

When you say that Gonzaga isn't as good as the great teams of yesteryear you're essentially just stating the obvious. So very astute observation guys.

Since when do you give two shits about what's fair?

Shakes going soft because he fell in love with Suggs and Timme and the Gonzaga WAY.

I do love Suggs and Timme. How can you not love those guys? In the elite 8 game Timme made an amazing pass for an assist and then on his way down court he reached down on the ground and pretended to pick up imaginary dimes and then pretended to put the imaginary dimes in an imaginary pocket in his shorts. That's next level showmanship.

And I can't go soft, I already went soft when I supported the lockdown a year ago and wore a mask. No coming back from that.

yet Kispert is the one who is pegged to be a top 10 pick in the draft ahead of Timme and Ayayi. If he has another bad game I wouldn't be surprised if his stock drops him all the way down to the bottom of the first if not out of the first round entirely. He really has been terrible the entire tournament.

I have Kispert playing overseas but then again that's where I had JJ Redick playing also.

The scouts liken Kispert to a Joe Harris clone. He's considered a sure fire lottery pick.

I didn't think much of Redick either. Pretty amazing that he turned into an NBA lifer and a pretty good one at that.

Baylor looks significantly better. Gonzaga looking like an upscale Loyola out there.

I’m starting to wonder if Gonzaga is not, in fact, the greatest basketball team of the past 50 years.

The transitive property gives Baylor that particular distinction.

Do they identify as the greatest basketball team of the past 50 years?

Stop making it a social issue.

It would be disrespectful to raise the issue. When they’re ready to do so, they’ll tell us.

Gonzaga is going to back-cut their way to a 15-point loss in a beautifully fundamental fashion.

Zags keep getting it to 9 but then Baylor answers to make it a 13-16 point game.

I’m taking some solace in the fact the Illini would have been smoked by this Baylor team as well. They are super fast and have tons of weapons.

Zags only chance is Baylor foul trouble.

I did not see that game, early in the season. I’m just observing how awesome Baylor looks, and it doesn’t seem Ayo and Kofi could handle these guys.

They couldn’t handle Cameron Krutwig, so that’s probably fair.

America's team lost. Everyone wanted the Zags to finally do it. But Baylor was just too much. A 20 point win in the championship game is amazing.

It was a tie game until about 8 minutes to go.

Unfortunate they played the whole game then.

I look forward to the 30 for 30 when all the shadiness comes out about Scott Drew and Baylor.

My favorite story is still how Baylor assistant coaches threatened to get a player deported if he didn't choose Baylor. He would end up going to Indiana instead and not get deported.
