JFC Rizzo. I would go back and beg for the contract the Cubs just offered you. I watched the first 3 innings. I generally hate the phrase “team identity” but this team is merely a collection of parts at this point. It’s gonna be a hard watch this year because it’s clear Jeds MO was to assemble a team that hopefully over achieved in the first half from a relatively soft schedule and then flip for assets. Honestly, it’s his only defensible move given his what...5 year contract.

Low balling Lester yet bringing back Jake is still odd. Alienating Rizzo? Why?
