Really good outing tonight. Hits with runners on, good starting pitching, good relief pitching, etc.

Yermin still hitting everything and Moncada finally getting some hits to hopefully build some confidence.

Vaughn also making some plays in left that should have us asking why he wasn't there all spring.

Sox face another lefty tomorrow with Giolito starting for the Sox.

Eloy "Wally Pipp" Jimenez may not make it back in the lineup, much less Left Field.

He's a DH. The sooner they except that and the fact that Grandal needs to be dealt, the better off the team will be.

The fat man also doesn't lumber. Moves around the bases really well. I know he catches, but can he really catch?

Doubtful otherwise he would have made it to the majors before 28. Maybe he's a Nelson Cruz type who should just be expected to DH.

Eloy will be back. Don't you worry.

Paxton out with an injury. Lefty reliever in.

If Madrigal can't field, can't run the bases, and can't hit I'm not sure what purpose he serves.

Madigral fuck ups happen every game. Our hitless left fielder can’t field. And Collins can’t catch.

There is just no way this team can be considered contenders with this defense.

Giolito is hitting 91 on the fastball. Kinda worrisome.

I’m not clear madrigal is a better option than any of their backups at this point.

60 pitches through 3 innings.

He won't last through 5.

The start of this season has been worrisome. I didn't expect that with a Hall of Fame manager and a full camp.

Mendick should start tomorrow and the home opener. Maybe even through the homestand.

Madrigal has to figure his shit out.

3,000 baserunning mistakes? 3,000 bobbled balls? 3,000 times Sox fans want to punch him in the face? Possibilities are endless.

After a slow start, Luis Robert has quietly raised his average to .292

That win is a product of Seattle being terrible. The team is piling up defensive miscues. And Leury Garcia is black hole in the line-up. There is enough talent on the team to cover for this against garbage, but this isn't go to cut it against decent teams.

Leury will be out of the line-up tomorrow or Saturday when TA returns.

Anderson has had hamstring issues two years in a row now. Hope it's not something that's going to keep coming back. Moncada is also a black hole right now. I'm saying to write this team off, but when they said money would be spent I hoped for more than a closer on a deferred contract, a cost controlled starter, and re-signing guys like Rodon. Asking Vaughn to play left in the big leagues while figuring out how to hit is less than ideal.
